I know this riser is made of plastic but is it "hard" or is it "squishy"? In other words, does it have a lot of give when a person sits on it?

A person does not actually sit on the riser part. When you install this riser unit you re-use your existing toilet seat and the riser is located underneath. It is hard plastic and is not contoured or shaped to sit on. I hope this answer was helpful and not confusing.

does it come with bolts

It comes with bolts BUT they don’t fit the product so you can’t install it. Very POOR quality control. Do not buy this unless you want to spend additional money for new bolts. AND take note - you can’t return the unused item due to poor quality.

I use a baby wipe every time it's used...inside and outside. It is fastened down so I wipe everywhere I can. I've been using this for two months and it's as clean as the day we installed it. It's very sturdy.

Does this work on a Koehler toilet

It worked on my new Kohler toilet. I imagine any elongated toilet where the toilet has the correct hole spacing and the seat uses pass-through bolts will work.
