Not the worst headlamp ever, but definitely not worth $20. It is a little flimsy and the plastic starts to come apart at places after just a bit of use. Especially if a kid is using it/dropping it, you would think it would be a little more durable. The media could not be loaded.  After researching Led Headlamps I finally settled on the Product Zzar headlamp mainly because of thebrightness of the Cree light bulb being much superior to the small multiple led lights.Ironically I bought this headlamp on a Monday and was very surprised when I returned home from theuniversity that I attend on Tuesday afternoon it was already on my door step, that's not the ironic part,two hours later the power went out in my apartment and luckily I had just installed the batteries in mynew headlamp to try it out so as soon as I felt around and found it I turned it on and was amazed at theamount of light it produced in our small apartment.The headlamp paid for itself that evening by allowing us to cook dinner and move around the apartmentwithout any problems. It was so much better than a normal flashlight because both hands wereavailable for cooking and other things, not to be rude but being a male you can imagine how useful itwas when I had to visit the bathroom.I was even able do my homework that night sitting at the table and even read a couple of extra chapterswhile lying in bed.My only regret was not buying two Led Headlamps because all night long my wife kept taking it awayfrom me so she could do her things around the apartment leaving me in the dark when she left the area,Overall Best HeadLamp Ever,love it. I will order another one for my wife..

I was disappointed. The battery cover is plastic and probably will resist light rain, but not much wetter conditions. When I opened it, I could not find the usual + an - markings--if they are there you need better eyes than I have to find them. While inserting one batter, the steel clip on the end slid out. I was able to reinsert it, but wonder how many batter changers this will work. I see no way to have a high, medium, low beam. I click the button and it goes on or off.It looks like a reasonable amount of light and is certainly light weight. I hope it lasts one winter!

I bought this item a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived to see that the light was much brighter than I expected. Looking at the picture shown online, I wasn't sure how the extra strap (on top of the head) would feel but I'm actually a big fan; it keeps the light in place on my forehead without needing to tighten the elastic strap around my head to a painfully tight level, like a previous headlamp I once used.On a camping trip at Belleview in Florida last week, this proved to be useful. I've brought headlamps with me before on camping trips, but never ended up using them except during bathroom trips at night (where I just ended up holding them like a flashlight). This time, I actually used the headlamp, and my wife and I extended our hiking trip for an extra 45 minutes because we weren't tired and wanted to get to our favorite camping spot despite a rather late start time. That's when I fully noticed the perfect distribution of light given off by this headlamp. It isn't too direct which allows the entire trail to be lit up, but it also isn't too scattered to be helpful.Really a great headlamp. Highly recommend it.

This is not up to snuff as a work light. The head piece is not permanent, it'll come undone and you'll need to stop and put it back together. And the battery compartment is all plasticky, it's not gonna hold up after a battery changeout or two. If you're serious about a work light, pay the big bucks. Frankly, I did better holding the damn flashlight in my teeth than having this cheesy thing hanging off my head. Okay for chasing bugs, I guess.

I received my 3 Watt Cree Headlamp and immediately put it to work. I had to BBQ for a large group after dark and didn't have good outdoor lighting so I strapped on my new headlamp. It is so light weight and so simple to use, I didn't even remember I had it on (until I turned it off and couldn't see a thing). I own several LED headlamps, but I wanted one that was light weight and simple to use. Ounce for ounce, this is the brightest light I have ever seen. I'm not sure what the CREE technology is, but this is much brighter than other LED's I have owned. Weighing in at only 2.3 ounces, plus another 1.2 ounces for the three AAA batteries, it puts out a crazy amount of brightness that has great range. No battery packs (the three AAA fit inside the lamp), a simple to find and use on/off button, and an easily adjustable headband makes this the easiest and simplest headlamp I have ever used. The price is the best part of all. I fully recommend this product. In fact, I just ordered another one!

It is quite convenient and bright. However, the elastic bands are very tight and the base of the light is very hard and rough, which gives me headache after 5 minutes. I have to wear it for at least 20 minutes each time to finish walking my dog. My suggestion is to wear a hat under this light, but it could be an issue for not very cold weather....

Light is plenty bright and is relatively comfortable to wear and it works great for everything most people have described and as the manufacturer described. However the light is bright in the center of the page and it bounces back too brightly for me to read comfortably.
