LIGHTNING AND LOVE
The story is another great tale in the Bridgewater series—where each book reads as a stand-alone and could be read in any order. The story will have mention of other members of this unique community of individuals. Bridgewater is a town in Montana that has the uncommon practice of more than one husband per wife—a Mohamian custom adopted by soldiers who served in Mohamir.Clayton Peters will threaten Olivia, and with the aid of her Uncle Allen, she will be protected, but they both know this isn’t the end of their problems. At a local dance, she will meet two unique men who grab her attention. Her Uncle has always told her, you’ll know by the lightning you will feel—but why does she feel this for two men she just met?“When I find the right man, it will feel like I’ve been struck by lightning.”Cross, Rys, and Simon are in Helena to purchase a stud stallion for their ranch back in Bridgewater. While Simon is busy making the deal to buy the horse, Rys and Cross will attend a local dance, where they meet Olivia and know she is the one for them. Simon has yet to meet her, but when a fire happens at her home in the night—that will change, and with the encouragement and blessings of her Uncle, she will be married shortly after that and then moved to Bridgewater and kept safe.“You said you felt a connection, a spark with them, that you were worried about being attracted to two men atthe same time. Your head may be telling you it is wrong, but your heart will always tell the truth.”The story has the good, the bad, the ugly, and the nightmares. For Cross, Rys and Simon, they have each had their share of troubles and worries. But when it comes to taking Olivia as their wife, it is the perfect solution. She was meant to be theirs. They need to get her back to their home in Bridgewater. They will protect her from danger and keep her safe.“Bridgewater is my home now. Your home. It is where our future is. You are our future.”Trouble will come, and her quick thinking and actions will make the difference. Olivia is smart enough not to believe the lies she is being told. She will flee and try to find her men, and when lost, she is smart enough to seek a safe place until they can find her. Mystery, suspense, danger, explicit sex scenes, passion, and possession all make up this tale of dominance, submission, and ménage.“I’m right where I want to be, between the three of you. It means I belong to all of you. Not one at a time, but all of you at the same time, for that’s how it is, in here.”

Glaring Oversights
THEIR CAPTIVATED BRIDE (Bridgewater Mènage Series Book 4)Vanessa ValeOlivia is pressured by the vile Peters who wants to marry her for her future inheritance. She rebuffs him. She meets Rhys and Scott at a dance. Lightening! Just as her uncle had promised. But for BOTH? That night a burning bottle of whiskey is thrown into the house she shares with her uncle. Rhys and Cross bring a third friend when they come to help. Her uncle agrees she must leave, for protection from Peters, and when he hears they are from Bridgewater, he gladly grants his niece's hand to Simon full knowing it will be a Bridgewater marriage. Olivia is speechless. Editor a "blissfully" should be a "blessedly" short ceremony. And "clamored" up the stairs, should be "clambered." "Supply" should be "supple." "greasy" should be "queasy." Despite these glaring oversights, I enjoyed caring about our four likeable lovers.

A real disappointment
This is the second book I have read from this author. Again I have been disappointed. The editing is poor. How can you not notice the name is Belinda for many paragraphs and then changed to Melinda for a few more paragraphs and then back to Belinda. For me that is a huge mistake. I also found the story to be dispassionate and disjointed. The author doesn't make you feel what the characters are feeling. You don't find yourself getting involved. This book was offered for free and that is the only reason I gave this author a second chance. But I will not read any of her stories again. I have authors that are better writers to read.

I've read worse...which doesn't improve this book
The writing in this series was cheesy, and I love reading about poly-relationships. Maybe because I have read these better written works with a storyline and plot that make sense, characters that the reader can connect with, and scintillating sex scenes, I am THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED in this series. So much could have been done and said if the background of the Bridgewater men could have been properly developed. Instead they were shamelessly cast aside like two-dimensional afterthought. And the wives? OMG can they really be this stupid? It's no wonder the husbands have to train them, they cannot think for themselves if their lives depended on it!

Should have been 4 stars
Not a 5 star book, but could have been 4 with better editing. Character Belinda became Melinda for a few pages. In a menage sex scene it is important to keep the participants straight in your description. Several times the names were mixed up. Other than these criticisms, it was a good quick read which I enjoyed.

Menage is Hot
Who knew three guys could satisfy one woman. Olivia has been told she will feel lightning when she meets the guy who is suppose to be hers. No one told her it couldn't happen more then once. She first meets Cross and Rhys at a dance and feels an Instant connection to them both. Her uncle who has raised her shares a secret with her. She meets the third lightning bolt later that night Simon. These books are Hot and way too short.

Repeatious
If you read the first book, I would recommend you do no waste your time and money on the rest of the series. There is no plot, nor originality. Not sure what the writer was thinking by writing a series with the same story...

Their Captivated Bride by Vanessa Vale..
Their Captivated Bride is the third book in the Bridgewater Ménage series by Vanessa Vale. I have the previous two books in this series, but you do not need to in order to follow along. What struck me from the cover was that there were three men and one women in this ménage. The previous books were two men to one women. To be honest my initial thought was poor woman!I am a bit of a sucker for American romance books. I love the cowboy hats, guns and horses. Even though in real life I hate all those things. The novel starts out by two of the three men, Rhys and Cross, visiting a dance. There they meet and dance with a woman called Olivia. Simon, their final man, is away making a deal with Mr Peters, over a horse.Rhys and across fall head over heals, like lightening. Simon, having not had the pleasure meets Olivia the next night when Olivia and her uncle get in a spot of bother. To save her from said bother, Simon married Olivia on the spot.I do like Ménage stories, but usually with only two men. I find, for some reason too many men get mixed up and it's difficult to follow so Many Love interests at once. Vanessa Vale, does have a knack to creating characters that have varied different personalities and therefore makes it a lot easier on the reader. That being said, I could make out which of the men were my favourite and I'm not yet sure that's a good thing or a bad thing.Vanessa Vale does seem to follow a similar structure when it comes to the romance of the story, especially with how the characters experience sex. Although this is a good structure and it does work well, I would like to see something a little different in the next book. The villain of the story was a bit odd. He clearly seemed to think that Olivia was his, and then tried to make her very miserable later on in the novel, but it seemed a bit of an excuse for Olivia to make up her mind that she loved all of her men, and couldn't do without them.I do love Vale's books, and I will definitely continue to the next in the series.
