Was not compatible with my engine. 83 Mercruiser 120 4 cylinder GM 2.5l
Can't really take away a star as I could not install this item on my boat.Mine takes the "bowl up pump" this is the "bowl down design" which I now understand.I could not install due to the pump hits the block and cannot be installed.Mercury parts catalog made it sound like it was a new improved design and it is listed for my engine, however they do not specify some models will not accept this pump.Anyway this pump seemed to be fine, Packaged well, but I could not use it.I did search for another fuel pump and realized that the descriptions on other's product pages read "This is for bowl up design" or "if your pump bowl is up this the correct pump" etc... etc...Hope this helps.

Great pump!
Great product! My 1984 mercruiser 470 wasn’t starting and was stalling at high rpms. Replaced the old pump with this one and it runs like new!
