My boyfriend (pictured) is INCREDIBLY sensitive to *any* light in the apartment when trying to sleep. Unable to rest if even the faintest distant glow was visible to him, he was making me nuts, going around the place at night while I slept, turning off every night light etc., (thus making it dangerous for me when I would get up to use the bathroom or something). It was a struggle for us both for different reasons.He had a “sleep mask” but it wasn’t doing the job of keeping it dark for him. So I decided to get him a new one that would be comfortable yet effective. Found this beauty on Amazon and let me tell you it WORKS! He tried it on in a FULLY LIT room during the day & said it was pitch black inside the mask!The dimensional donut cushion around each eye portion completely closes the gap below the eyes near the nose, as well as on the sides just above the cheekbone (where most masks fail to fully block light). The cushioning is even soft enough to allow him to sleep on his side without ANY discomfort. The adjustable elastic around the head is soft & there’s no hook & loop closure to scratch skin or pull hair.Even with the cushioning & the multilayered light blocking fabric, his eyes don’t feel hot, so whatever magical stuff they use is effective at keeping it dark in the mask AND it is ventilated!I can now watch television while he sleeps beside me (with me using earbuds for Bluetooth audio), & he sleeps like a baby! Plus my nightlights are staying on again, and I can walk safely in the house at night.All around a great product- not just any old sleep mask, it’s the ideal combination of form & function. The price is reasonable for the product, considering the priceless nature of a good night’s sleep AND safer travels within the apartment in the dark.It’s a comfy compromise that solved a pretty big dilemma for us.This photo is of him sleeping in the recliner in a hotel recently when we went out of town: I was watching the television that was about 5 feet away from him! My husband likes to read/ watch movies in bed when I need to go to sleep to these eye masks have been a godsend! I have used the ones with Velcro straps in the past, but the grippy part always would get stuck in my hair and damage it. These have a slider like a bra strap so they can be tightened/ loosened easily without making noise or getting stuck in your hair. I also love how well they block out light on all sides so I can actually sleep (and I do feel like I fall asleep faster and wake up less when wearing this). My only complaints are that the plastic slider sometimes rubs up against my ear and these do not seem to wash well, but I can look past those minor inconveniences to be able to sleep soundly and without light bothering me. I keep one in my suitcase and reorder another for daily use every few months since serums and night creams get absorbed by the mask.

Comfortable and high quality. I took off one star because it's slightly uncomfortable for side sleeping and shifts a bit to let light in. Other than that, it blocks out light very effectively and doesn't press on the eyes. The band is adjustable and doesn't slip or loosen. Very high quality.

Nice sleep mask! It's soft and has room so your eyelashes don't hit the fabric. The adjustable strap is comfortable and not binding like some masks. I don't even notice it once it's on and I'm settled in for the night. Quality is good. Eye coverage is great. Good value.

This sleeping mask is so comfy! Works great to keep out light with minimal pressure on nose. No pressure on eyes at all. Stays in place throughout the night. Only downside is it shows oil from face and my night cream. So, it needs to be handwashed often. No biggie. Just a quick, gentle wash in the sink in the morning and it's dry by bedtime. It's worth this little effort for such a good, quality sleep mask.

Great mask. The fabric is soft and pillowy around the eyes. Its adjustable stretchy band makes it fit for any size. I was not sure if I would be able to sleep with it on but it was no problem and blocked 100 percent of the light. Small enough to take with you anywhere at a good price.

These are super comfortable, and you can actually blink your eyes without rubbing your eyelashes on the fabric due to the way the gel is contoured. I don't know what the fabric is, but it's like silk. Very smooth and soft. And, most importantly, they really block out the light. It can be super bright in my bedroom when the light comes in, yet pitch black under these things.I've had to readjust the headband three times. I think it's because the metal bands on the adjustable strap are lacquered (nice quality) and so they're a bit slippery, though not terribly, and so every few days I have to readjust them, but I don't mind that at all. It doesn't look like it's losing it's elasticity, though, just sliding a bit every few days. So, overall, the design is great, it is comfortable with its stretchable and adjustable strap, and the price was right. If these ever wear out, I'm definitely going to pick up another pair.
