I use these as prefilters fro a water softener they remove even the smell of Florida well water.

Used to remove odors from well water drawn from volcanic sediment.

Only note - the seal rings aren't glued. It's not a problem; just put the canister over it, then flip it over to install it. I'm actually kind of glad they didn't add another chemical (glue) to the mix.

We are on public utility water and have a big blue whole house water filter to improve the taste and remove the trace chlorine. The first filter cartridge we installed lasted over two years, and even though the water still tasted and smelled fine, the cartridge manufacturer recommended replacing the water filter cartridge at least once a year. I had trouble finding the same cartridge, so bought this four-pack from Geekpure. The first cartridge was almost totally ineffective. In fact, I brought some raw water in from one of the outside spigots, which doesn't run through the filter, and it smelled and tasted the same as the water that had gone through the newly installed Geekpure cartridge.Thinking that it may have been a defective filter cartridge, I took it out and installed another one with the same results; the water tasted and smelled the same as raw, unfiltered water.After some digging, I found a place that sells the cartridge that had come with the big blue filter housing, Atlas Filtri carbon water filter, part number ARE4520CT5. I ordered and installed it and have fresh, clean tasting and smelling water again.

They work great for my water system and are cheaper than going to the store where they want 75 bucks a filter

The pricing on these water filters is excellent, especially if you buy a pack of 4. I did so and received them promptly. These appear to be as good if not possibly better than the name brand filters I was using, Matrix. I believe these have more filter material as they are heavier and as described I think that they have a longer life before needing to be replaced. I installed my first one about a month ago and It appears to be working as it should in my whole house filter.

Les cartouches sont toutes arrivées identiques contrairement à d'autres avis de personnes ayant reçu des filtres différents. Par contre pour l'efficacité, difficile à dire, je ne sais pas si notre eau est vraiment mauvaise, mais malgré ce filtre et 4 autres placés en amont, nous avions toujours un goût pas top. Finalement nous avons installé un osmoseur en plus. Ceux la sont placés a l'entrée pour toute l'eau de la maison.
