Balneol Hygienic Cleansing Lotion, Gentle Intimate Cleansing Lotion for Sensitive Skin and Pelvic Region, 20 Lotion Packets

Please read the description for this product -- it is not a wipe for a reason. It comes in a bottle which I keep at home and these packets which I keep in a toiletry bag in my purse. It is the absolute best product for its intended use and for those who need it. It works precisely because it is a lotion and not a wipe. If you are confused, or buying this for someone you take care of, please read this and think it through.I am writing this review base on my first hand experience as someone without a colon anymore and never-ending bowel problems. I see from the other reviews that a number of people also use it for hemorrhoids -- that makes sense, it's just not my problem. I use this when I am soiled and sore from leakage or a full accident by simply putting some of this on my toilet tissue. (If there is a lot of material, remove that first.) It will softly remove any remaining material from the sore area and prevent the tissue from pulling at or abrading the delicate skin. It may also leave behind a little of the lotion -- do not try to clean it all off, this is also good for the skin in that area. Just make sure that most of the soiled matter is removed. There is something in this lotion that also help to neutralize the stinging/burning that is left behind and it works great.Please note, if the skin is already too abraded, a sitz bath and water is the only thing that should be used -- Never use any soap or cleansing solution in this situation. Also, if you are just trying to "clean up" and need tissues or towels, that is a different need for which there are entirely different products. But if you have sore skin and frequent diarrhea get this and a tube of Calmoseptine Ointment right away and get feeling better fast!

I recently purchased Balneol Lotion from Amazon and saw these lotion packets for the first time. I've never seen these in my local pharmacy, only the lotion in the bottle. This was great to have when on the go. Balneol was recommended by the GI doctor I see. I found the price on Amazon cheaper than my pharmacy too. A little goes a long way and it really helps sooth irritation in the perianal area especially hemorrhoid issues! Hope this review helps because you usually see greasy type products for this problem. This lotion isn't greasy at all. My husband even used it when he had a bad flare up and it really helps. I hope that my review helps because it helps misery that so many have. I never see Balneol advertised either.

Great Products

Useful and really help

I use these strictly for travel because they are light and take up no space. But there's not much lotion in each one. So not very efficient or economical compared to the larger plastic container version.

Soothing and acts as lubricant. Not a miracle cure. The best healing for any of the private areas is the sitz bath, hands down.

My former boss recommended this product a number of years ago for cleansing away from home...you know, when you can't jump in the shower after using the toilet. The individual packets are great (he used to carry the bottle around in the office, but I prefer a little discretion! Lol.) I'd had a problem initially with the company (JustOTC) from which I'd purchased this product most recently as they sent it to me in a flimsy envelope and the product arrived in poor condition. But, JustOTC saw a post I'd penned on Amazon and they completely remedied the problem by sending out a new box without charge. I would definitely order from that vendor again thru Amazon. I live on Amazon!

For me, this works the best out of all the creams and ointments I’ve used so far. The relief from pain and irritation from my nether regions (fissure) goes away on contact. I also like the fact I can use as much as needed without the risk of over use which can happen with other brands. The only drawback is that this cream does not heal like a pep h, or a tucks. In any event, I have a bottle to use on standby for Each bathroom in my house.
