My 40lb Labrador Retriever loves her Nylabone. She DOES chew threw it and it's important to note that it IS plastic, so the product description mentions it should NOT be ingested. The bone eventually does get worn down and she does "bite, then lick" the bone, but she doesn't seem to ingest the entire bone over time and isn't interested in the small, ant-sized pieces of the bone she's carved off with her teeth.However, over time, the bone does shrink and the edges do get very sharp, so be wary of that. It's not going to hurt anyone, but if you step on it or if it brushes you the wrong way, it could scratch you. Other than that, it's a cheap toy that lasts about a month or so for my dog–a dog that chews up most plush toys pretty quickly.

Hard nylabones are not my dogs' favorite. They prefer flexi nylabones or a different brand in hard chews, but this version actually gets chewed. So I'll give four stars. It's lasts a really long time, and the edges get rougher as the dog chews, which helps with cleaning teeth.

I have dachshunds and they all go crazy for this bone. We have a variety of nylabones around the house that they enjoy, but this one is always first choice. I just came to order another since the one we own is starting to look raggedy, and I realized I've ordered this same items multiple times but never reviewed it. This 5 star review is well deserved. I'm not sure what special sauce they infuse into this bone- maybe it's the wood?- but this bone in particular is the holy grail in our home, satisfying both chewing and dental needs for my pack. Nylabone, please never stop making this variety. My boys would be heartbroken.

My dog has been chewing on this for months.

These are great chews, seem durable and the dogs love it. However, be advised the product description seems to be way off. It says the "Wolf" chew is 7.5 inches long, but the one I got is only about 5 inches long! The packaging says for dogs up to 35 pounds, which is appropriate for the actual size, but that is one tiny wolf. Definitely not what I thought I ordered. Fortunately my wolves are only Border Collies. Photo is my hand + a 30 lb border collie, and you can see the chew is a bit on the small side. I will supervise them as I don't know how fast they'll gnaw this down.

These are the best... our Rhodesians love them, I think this is the 4th one in 3 years
