No adverse effects. Calming and a sense of peace. Emotions are less sharp feeling in a good way. Really smooths rough spots of aggravation. I take methylene blue in conjunction. No brain fog. No dull feelings, just even and better. Highly recommend!

I’m amazed. I had TBI from a car accident and my brain bled 10 years ago. I’ve had RLS, Anxiety upon waking, shut down emotions not being able to cry, Depression, pain from Myofascia Pain Syndrome, you name it- that accident messed me up.I’ve been in Norco, Zanax, Zoloft, Flexiril and a host of other Fibro drugs I could not tolerate and it’s Lithium that has helped me.I go to the hot springs nearby that is high in lithium and I can always tell when I need a dose of minerals from sitting in water. So I looked up lithium and I had no idea it was available as a mineral. I’m not bipolar or OCD or anything severe so I’d never think of looking at lithium but I’m glad I had practical experience at the hot springs in high lithium waters.In just 3 days I feel like a teenager where life wasn’t interesting and I was curious. A deeper optimism is back. 40% of my pain is gone (I’m also taking Elijah Free’s Cortisol-Ease and that is also amazing) which helps pain. I cut out coffee too just to minimize morning cortisol spikes. But I have to say this lithium is making me sleep. With Obamacare making doctors so awnry they fought me re insomnia and prescribing zanax for it but it was the only way I could sleep. Or pot. But I hate pot as it makes my mind foggy. Now with lithium I don’t need either and I’m very happy to know I can go to the doctor and not request zanax. I’m getting the best sleep now and it’s not a drugged sleep. Yes in 3 days you can tell.It’s nice to feel relaxed.

I use this for bipolar disorder, and it works well. At first I was using 2 capsules (40mg), which worked almost instantly to calm my mixed episodes. Eventually I went down to 30mg (adding a 10mg capsule to the one 20mg cap), and now I find that just 20mg works well. A couple years ago I tried the 20mg capsules for a couple weeks and didn’t think they helped. If that is you, I recommend starting higher (40mg all at once) so you can clearly feel the benefit, and reducing as the effects build up. I also recommend taking these later in the day, as they can make you extremely sleepy otherwise. At first I was taking half my dose in the early afternoon, and half around dinner, but it would ruin my day, because I just wanted to sleep all afternoon. Interestingly, these do not make me extra sleepy at night. I think they disrupt the circadian rhythm if taken too early. These also help for alcohol cravings, and if you’re trying to quit you could try upping your dose temporarily. I’m not sure lithium has done much for my depression (conversely I started on 300mg 5-Htp recently, and that helps), but it has made me a calmer, more patient, easier to get along with person. And I’m hoping it protects me from Alzheimer’s, since I am homozygous for APoe-E4. Fantastic, irreplaceable supplement with many potential benefits.
