This was more pricey than the no name brand but for plumbing I think you can only trust the known brands.Install was simple but didnt come with instructions. The hot and cold sides arent labeled but easy enough to figure out. It works flawlessly and I wish I purchased these mixing valves sooner.

The first one I go leaked from the temp adjustment screw and saw it was missing an O-ring. Second one working great.I bought this since the original water line was cold water only and my home humidity wouldn't rise in 20 degree F or less outside temps. I thought feeding the Aprilaire with warm water would be better than hot water only because the hot (120+) can cause dissolved minerals to fall out and plug up the water pad prematurely. So far, so good. The unit actually turns off now because my humidity levels are being achieved. My water temp is around 105F.

So thankful for this product! Instructions are sorely lacking but I was able to figure it out and get them installed, (one in kitchen, one in bathroom), within 45 minutes. You'll need to buy water lines, those were the hardest part, finding the right size for our old house, I should have bought them on amazon with the valve. Once installed I am one happy customer, works wonderfully and is very easy to adjust the temperature. The water pressure took a hit with these but is well worth the sacrifice compared to having to have my water heater turned low. We can crank the water heater up now and have hot showers while my sinks are still at the legal temperature for my home daycare.

Just what I needed! I installed this on a claw foot tub to meet plumbing code in my city for ‘anti-scald’. Works great, easy to install. 3/8” compression all the way around. Hopefully will be satisfactory for code inspection this week!

Has 3/8 compression fittings ...more complicated to install than I expected ... has one way valves so when pointing to hot, cold is totally turned off. No drips at all with pressure at only one inlet. Amazing. Can disconnect cold side while hot side is running water. Don't grab it with pliers and try to hold it in place while tightening things. The case deforms and a one way valve pops out like a cork. At least two pieces fly out .. something complicated and a ring. I lost them trying to put them back in. Rule for next time: have same pressure on both inlets at all times. Playing with the one way valves by applying pressure to only one side is silly. After loosing the two pieces, it stopped mixing. Just turns into another hot water flow control valve.I had to order another one.

I like the compact size and purchased based on other positive reviews.It came with no instructions or information. The thread size requires additional fittings or a couple of 3/8" female x 3/8" female supply lines (in my case). My local Lowes did not have those.Overall, I like the product and would recommend to others with the above notes.
