No, not for me. The plastic angle piece broke the first time I used it for painting. Now looking for a metal one.

I would say the advertised weight is approximately correct. This is the best pole I have ever found for holding up to serious use.

Q: Will this pole accept the Unger brush/squeegee?

Yes, if you purchase the Unger brush & squeegee combo attachment that is threaded. They also sell one that is only click snap, which is not currently compatible.

Q: What is the diameter of the screw end where the attachments go? (Want to know if I can use it with my current attachments. . .)

It's a standard ACME threaded tip and should be compatible with any standard threaded attachment. Typically, these are 3/4" to 5/8", and the pole will work with both sizes - the 3/4" will just be a tighter fit.
