Has a nice set of prep supplies, but the moment I slide the screen protector out of it sleeve it broke on it own weight. Was pissed, but luckily there is too I tried to be more careful with the second and have a better grip and that one just end up with a bigger crack. Might protect your screen, but clearly not that strong if it breaks at its own weight.

Tempered glass screen protectors are must-haves for smartphones and tablets. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve saved my mobiles with these things. For laptops, though, the proposition is a little bit different because the use case is a little bit different.The main thing is this: Laptop screen protectors aren’t really made for drop protection. After all, how often do you drop your open laptop screen side down? I drop my phone once or twice a week. My laptop? Not so much. Like, not a single time in 20 years.So what does this thing actually do? Well, it’ll definitely protect your screen from random scratches and incidental contact that could otherwise bruise the panel or crack the glass. It’s honestly not a bad idea to spend a few dollars to boost the durability of your $1000+ laptop screen. But this kind of glass reinforcement on a laptop is also not a total necessity like it is on a mobile device.When it comes to installation, if you’ve ever put one of these screen protectors on a smartphone, the process is basically the same (albeit newer mobile kits come with alignment frames that make things a bit easier than they’ve been in the past). The trouble is that unless you live in a laboratory-grade cleanroom, you’re probably not going to be able to get this thing installed without trapping a little bit of dust or dander underneath.But the biggest problem is that you may not be able to get all the air bubbles out, despite the product listing advertising this glass as “bubble free.” The truth is that no glass screen protector can credibly make that guarantee. You can work most bubbles out most of the time, but that’s not the same thing. And on a laptop especially, working those bubbles out can be difficult.On a small mobile device—or even on a larger tablet like a 12.9” iPad—the screen has a lot of rigid backing that allows you to press on the bubbles with a credit card or hard squeegee and push them out. Sometimes, this takes a fair amount of force. On a laptop, though, the screen and lid usually don’t offer enough structural support for that. If you press on the bubbles too hard, you run the risk of irreversibly damaging your display panel.To avoid this, your best bet is to go very slowly during the adhesion process and immediately lift up the glass as soon you see a bubble start to get trapped so you can reset the process. Thankfully, because two glass panes are included in this kit, you have two chances to start from scratch and get everything right.All that said, none of these issues is the fault of the screen protector itself. Instead, the issues are a fundamental limitation of the laptop form factor. This G14 glass protector is exactly what I expected it to be, and it’s a quality accessory on its own terms. If you want or need the extra protection that a laptop glass screen protector offers, you can’t go wrong with this product.NOTE: Installation is best performed with the laptop lying open on its lid so that the screen is facing straight up. The texture is decent but it's impossible to put on without getting dust stuck in bubbles underneath. I used three trying to do it myself then took bought another pack and took it to a professional and they couldn't manage to install it cleanly either. The main issue is that the second you remove the film, it creates a ton of static drawing any small particles in the air to the back of the adhesive. Overall not great, but it protects the screen.

The installation process was okay. It's extremely static-y so if you have dogs like me it's a nightmare trying to keep hair and dust out of the way.Pros: The size is right and the install supplies that it came with are really nice. It does help with the glare.Cons: its so obvious that there is a protector on my screen now. It gives off a weird splotchy grainy texture so that my screen is not clear at all (see pic). It's still usable but definitely affects the viewing experience quite substantially.Due to the appearance of this screen protector, I will unfortunately be searching for a different one.

They are extremely fragile, one came broken in the package and other cracked as soon as I attempted to apply it, was very gentle.
