Can you buy replacement blades without the rubber covers ?. The rubber comes off as little bits in food

I really wanted to buy this mixer but will not only because of the plastic on the beaters. I have done a lot of research and there are many complaints of plastic coming off into the food after a year of use. Health is priority one so decided to buy the KitchenAid even though it is less power.

Did Breville ever fix the issue with the rubber coming off the beaters into the food? I need to know this before buying!

No. I called them and after several months that sent replacement beaters, but rubber is coming off. My husband found rubber in his banana bread this morning. 😵💫 I need to buy a new mixer now because they do not make beaters without the rubber.

Does the cord swivel from side to side?

Has anyone used this without the rubber coverings? I wonder if it mixes just as well without them.

The rubber coverings are part of the beater and cannot be removed. They are molded to the beaters. But I don’t know why you would even want to remove them. They make the beaters very versatile. You can use them in a ceramic coated pot or Teflon pot with no worry of scratching the pot v
