This figure is probably the best deluxe class in all of Legacy.
This figure is probably the best deluxe class in all of Legacy. It has minimal hollow parts, good paint apps, amazing articulation, and fun to transform back and forth.

Best Legacy Deluxe
This is by far the best deluxe to come out of the legacy line. The transformation is simple and fun, and the articulation of the robot mode is great for the size. The backpack is a little big but it works. I had seen a couple transformers youtubers talking about how great this guy was and they were right. I would highly recommend picking this dude up. Probably my favorite in my collection.

Great mold of a less featured character.
Probably the best mold of Gears at scale Ive seen.

Worth the hunt!
Who would have thought that this surly, obscure Autobot rated such an outstanding figure? He's about as perfect as he can get for his size! Great colors and deco, chunky and adorable truck mode, and in bot mode he's a surly little Juggernaut (ok, maybe not little, the dude's probably 14 feet). He even has a surprisingly beefy little SMG that suits him nicely. He looks perfect next to Brawn, Cliff, Bee and Huffer! Now, are we ever gonna get an update of poor Windcharger so we can finally have all six wave 1 Minibots?

Little but grumpy...
This is figure many people have been looking forward to. I recall that in the environment at the time, people thought a new Gears would be a retool of SS86 Brawn, but were proven wrong by this release. So...how is it?Well, I can say that it's really good! Robot mode is quite nice! Articulation is great, especially the arms. Ball jointed shoulders, butterfly joints due to transformation, double jointed elbows, also thanks to transformation and wrist joints! Add all the leg articulation and you got a great robot mode. Then there's the chest plate that can open to reveal some cartoon detailing from when Grumpy became Mr. Reasonable. That chest plate, BTW, is packed inside the box separately, so don't worry when you look at the box and don't see it, it's there. Now as for the vehicle mode...this is the mode with some issues and what drops it a star...technically a half star but that's not available here. For the most part I like the vehicle mode. It has the look of a compact truck trying to look big and tough. It has a more aggressive look to it that I like, but where it starts to look off is how narrow the wheels are. It's understandable because of how they have to fold in but it takes away from how it looks. Of one note you can fold the wheels underneath for a sort of hover mode so that's cool. The mushroom pegs coming through the wheels can be a turn off but at least the rims are painted silver and the plastic is light grey so it blends in. The hinge for the arm transformation sticks out in vehicle mode, doesn't bother me but it might bother others. There is one last thing in vehicle mode that DOES bother me, and that's the chest plate hangs out on the back of the truck , not blending in and looking quite ugly, lol. There's an Autobot symbol that's upside down and the whole thing doesn't even have the dignity to look anything like a tailgate. It's just a big red and silver triangular slab. I get why it was done this way but it's not the best solution I feel. Now, does that make this a BAD figure? No, I actually love it despite the issues and I'm looking forward to the eventual Swerve repaint/retool. If the current price is a bit much, try looking for the Wal Mart toy colored version, it's also quite nice.
