Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Purina Gentle Snackers Hydrolyzed Plus Low Fat Dog Treats - 8 oz. Pouch

My 12 year old Chihuahua who has diabetes loves these treats. They smell absolutely delicious (think Texas toast crouton) for “dog treats” and she is always happy to get the order from Amazon. They are about nickel in size and crunchy but not hard. They are a little pricey but one bag last our girl for several months. Sometimes towards the end of the bag they will get a little crumbly.

My dog loves taste although she is allergic to most things and could eat the past ones since they reformulated . The newer formulation now has something that her stomach cannot handle. She is 8 for context and allergic to chicken and many more things.. :(

My dog has recently been put on a very restricted diet. She can no longer eat her favorite treats. I’ve had trouble finding any that are compatible with with her diet. I called my vet and she recommended these. I was afraid my dog wouldn’t like them but she does. I’m glad that she can enjoy treats again.

My dog has been on special hydrolyzed diet for four years and we have been happy with the gentle snackers up until the last seven bags. Over a quarter of the bag is broken into a little bits and pieces and it’s impossible to get a good calorie count on this product. I talked to customer service at Purina. They were totally worth this. They sent me back to Amazon. everybody wants to pass the buck.Purina has been very helpful in the past, but they totally sucked at trying to provide a good outcome and at this point I’m gonna go back to my vet and have her recommend another hydrolyzed snacker product for my dogs. Amazon also refuses to refund any money to me Because it’s been over a certain time.I have had defective product times 10 bags over the last three months and I thought it was just a fluke, but it seems from talking to Purina that you should never buy anything like this from Amazon or chewy.

After my chihuahua had a pancreatitis flare-up, I had to really watch her diet. A vet tech suggested these lowfat treats and my chi loves them! Perfect size for her as well.
