I couldn’t resist getting the TAMAGOTCHI for my 8-year-old daughter, and it’s been a trip down memory lane for me. This new generation of the iconic 90s virtual pet is packed with customisable features, blending the charm of the original with modern upgrades. My daughter loves the vibrant 'purple pet'. It’s an interactive experience that keeps her entertained while teaching her about responsibility and nurturing - which we've had to do a few times over since she's still learning how to actually keep them alive. Having had an original Tamagotchi back when they were first popular, I had wanted a Uni for a while. I bought one on a whim on a Black Friday deal and after a week of using, haven't been disappointed. Great fun to play, easy to use, not too demanding and plenty to do. Awesome update to a classic.

This was my first ever tamagotchi purchase and naturally I went for the newest release, there are some obvious issues with this device but I’ll get into those a little later.Positive part of the review;This tamagotchi is a perfect little device for virtual pet lovers, it’s cute and has quite a few little features that really make the experience enjoyable, I’ve had the device for a few days now and have been non stop checking on my little tama.They go to bed at a good time and wake at a good time too, you can send your tama to the sitter if you’ll be busy with school / work or other things, you must pick your tama up before 6pm otherwise they’ll be upset with you.My issues with this tamagotchi;This tamagotchi came scratched straight out of the box, upon googling it appears most if not all of the tamagotchi uni devices come scratched lightly. the battery life is not that great, I have to charge it everyday sometimes twice. the plastic doesn’t feel all that great either.Overall it is a fantastic device and would recommend, personally I would wait for them to be cheaper on a sale but that is really up to you on what you value the tamagotchis.

As a huge tamagotchi fan and collector I was so excited to get the uni, it is great and I love the fact it’s constantly getting updates that you can download via WiFi, as well as games that you can play and tournaments via the tamaverse, I like the selection of tamagotchi characters that you can collect and raise and the option to take your tama for a walk is so cuteHowever , I do wish you could go out and meet other characters like you can on the pix/pix party, also I feel like the battery life doesn’t last too long if your an active player but it’s much better than the pix for battery life and at least you can recharge it instead of having to constantly change the batteriesThere isn’t any daily activities like the gardening, park visits or restaurants like with the pix and I really wish it had the career feature that the pix hadOtherwise I’d say it’s really good, and a great starter tama for a young child too, it’s fairly easy to use and doesn’t beep for attention as often as previous tamas I find which is great if your wanting to buy for a child or if your very busy and don’t have the time to care for it regularly

I bought this for my son who originally wanted the monster carnival tamagotchi. Having done some research, I found you can get the download codes for the themed tama’s and download them onto any of the tamagotchis. I got the purple regular uni and the monster carnival dlc.Great fun, battery seems good so far, need to be careful not to over charge. So many features but very user friendly. Super impressed!

Can’t charge, can’t open, can’t play!

It is exactly as described. It’s super fun to past the time with. Very happy.

It’s good but the battery constantly needs charging, about every 2 days.
