Love how simple this book is. It’s so perfect for a beginner piano player. My daughter has only been playing about a year and she is loving this book!

If you have a Taylor Swift fan who is beginning piano, this book is perfect. The only reason I gave it 4 starsinstead of 5 is the fact that the songs are not complete. However, for someone just beginning to learn piano they may get frustrated if the song was longer. This is a perfect beginning book. I recently took piano back up after a 50 year absence, and thought this might be fun to help me relearn my skills.(When I asked my family what they wanted to hear me play, Taylor was requested). I enjoy playing from it and it has helped me to learn chords. Note, there are no left hand notes, it uses chords. There are diagrams at the top of each song showing fingerings for the chords. The right hand notes are large and the note names are shown inside the notes. If you want your kids to increase your playing time, or like me, are relearning piano after an absence and want to impress your children or grandchildren, this book is great!

The media could not be loaded. My new to piano 9 year old is loving this book. We’ve had it 30 min and she’s already banging out Blank Space. I was excited to see that each song had a chord/finger placement guide for the left hand. I’ll have to help her with right hand finger placement. So disregard the review that this is right handed music only. The left hand is played strictly by chords and it really enhances the simple right hand. Each song is just an excerpt, so don’t expect the full song. Also, for the sake of simplicity some of the songs are in a different key than the originals. Your kid may comment on how they sound different from her recordings and that’s why.

The printing and binding is good. Songs are playable for an advanced beginner.

The melodies are easy, but they are not in the same key as the original, so they don’t really sound correct.The “not super easy” from the review title comes from the fact that the bass clef is not printed. There are chord diagrams, but there is no guidance on how long to play a chord, which notes to use in the chord, or suggested finger placement. It is way too hard for a beginner to figure out.
