Makes coring strawberries so much easier than the old one Ihad. It is easy to use, goes through the dishwasher and it is cute! I would buy it again

The media could not be loaded. This strawberry huller works great. It allows you to pull the stem without taking much of the fruit’s flesh at all. It is very easy to use and doesn’t take much dexterity or hand strength, just an easy pinch and the stem is out. I was worried this would feel unwieldly or too big in my hands, but was pleasantly surprised that they fit nicely (my ring finger is size 4.5, so I have small hands). The one downside is that it is easy to have pits of leaves left on your berry after removing the stem because the huller cuts through them if they are not gather up inside the huller when removing the stem. This can easily be remediated if you just wash your berries after stemming them.Pros: good fit in hand, doesn’t remover fruit fleshCons: hard to get all leaves off

The Oxo Good Grips Strawberry Huller is a wonderful strawberry tool that removes the stem while leaving the majority of the strawberry intact. It is very easy to use and does a great job. All of my family members gave this tool a thumbs-up.

I was highly skeptical about getting one of these. I love kitchen gadgets but I love fresh strawberries more. The best way I'd found to properly core a strawberry without butchering it in the process was using a paring knife. But my hands are as old as I am and we ain't what we used to be! This isn't a big financial risk so I said WTH and ordered it. To my surprise, it works better than my old paring knife and it's fast and easy to use (even with arthritis)! Just twist the top off of the berry, slide this tool in, (it guides itself once in the berry) give it a slight squeeze and or twist, depending on the berry, and wash the berry under cold, running water, and violá! A perfectly cored strawberry. Honestly, the process isn't much faster than with my paring knife, but it's easier on my old hands.

This works very well. I’d lost my Chef’n strawberry huller, and was sad about that, so when I went to replace it, I got the Oxo Good Grips one along with it, as I thought it would be neat to compare them. I think ithe OXO edges out the Chef’n one by just a smidgen. It goes a little wider for those strawberries that are less ripe, taking more of the white with it. I will probably use both in the future, but might well reach for the OXO one first. I’m quite pleased with both, however. Both cut down on the time hulking strawberries. If I just had one or two strawberries to hull, I’d probably stick with the paring knife, if I was using one anyway. For a whole pound or two of strawberries for something like shortcake, it’s well worth the effort to find it and clean it for the time it saves. Notably, I have also tried some of the cheaper strawberry hullers that are similar to the Chef’n one in the past and had them fall apart the little plunger stick. It’s worth paying the couple dollars extra for the Chef’n or the OXO.

Bought this for removing pineapple eyes, after reading other reviewers saying it works, and the affordable price. It works great for removing pineapple eyes!And also the perfect strawberry top remover! Leaves no wasted fruit as a result. It's well made, lightweight, no hand pinching, easy to grip and handle, use and clean.
