If I only would have know....
I've been putting in nut rivets for years using the manual tool (I won't mention the brand). Adjust knob A, set knob B, set depth C, squeeze the handles together and hope you have everything set just right.... dang it another loose one. That tool has not left the toolbox since purchasing this gun. It's just too simple now. No adjustment, no more loose or crushed nut rivets. Screw nut rivet onto the mandrel, insert into hole, pull trigger to tighten, pull other trigger to unscrew gun from rivet. Another perfectly installed nut rivet. It's really that quick and easy. The tool may not have the snaponmacmatco fit and finish but it works flawlessly and I have had zero issues with it.

This tool does not work, not enough power - DO NOT BUY
This tool simply does not work. The tool does not have enough power. It will almost set rivnuts, but just lacks the power to really expand them. I purchased the tool to set Plus Nuts and it absolutely does not have the power needed. The max PSI on the label is 90 PSI and after several failed plus nuts (which are not fun to remove), I cranked up the compressor to 120 PSI - still not enough power to property collapse a standard rivnut.Bottom Line - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I read the negative reviews and did not believe them because some said the tool worked. THIS TOOL DOES NOT WORK FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE. Other than a paperweight, I can't think of a reason to purchase it. Thank you for taking my money and delivering a useless piece of Chinese technology. DO NOT BUY THIS TOOL - IT DOES NOT WORK.

Good but limited range
I like the mechanism, and this pneumatic rivet nut installer seems to work well. I am disappointed by the limited size metric mandrels available. While M6, M8, and M10, are useful, most of the time I am using rivet nuts it is for smaller size in sheet metal. I really need M3, M4, and M5. If they sold this metric installer with mandrels for M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 they would have a winner and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I could do sheet metal with the smaller sizes, as well as light structural with he larger sizes.Update: This is actually a pretty awesome tool for inserting M6, M8, M10 rivet nuts. It is fast, and the mechanism helps keep the rivet nut straight even if the surface is not even. As for smaller sizes, you don't really need a power mechanism for inserting M3, M4, M5 rivet nuts. A small hand-held tool like the Astro Pneumatic 1443B works great for the smaller sizes and is compact.

Nice tool, makes securing Riv-Nuts fast and easy!
I had a large number of rivet nuts to apply and this tool was the key in making the job not only fast, but also much easier. The gun worked well, proven strong enough for standard steel riv-nuts and while I did order replacement planetary gears and extra threaded drivers, I couldn't be happier. If you know what size nuts you'll be using, save yourself time and order extra threaded drivers to keep on hand.I'm grateful to have this in my toolbox and I'm constantly finding more and more uses for riv-nuts as our project progress.
