After much looking, this is definitely the best pick there is!
I'm very happy with my new pick and hope to have many years of rockhounding with it! The quality is superb and I won't be worried about having any little pieces breaking off while using it.When I posted a photo of it in my rockhounding group I had nothing but very positive comments and some that were definitely jealous.My Dad was a mechanic and he always told me that if I'm going to buy a tool, make it a good one. Well I did just that!

Geologist's hammer/pick
This is a well made tool, well balanced and just the right weight. It has a beautiful leather handle that feelscomfortable in the hand. I have had two of its companion tools from Estwing, a claw hammer and a small hand axe for many years and they will never wear out!
