Microwave Capacitor Replacement 2100V 0.91 uF MFD Compatible For Amana Electrolux Ge Kenmore and Whirlpool

My GE Profile kept on blowing fuses. Changed the capacitor and worked like a charm. Just be careful if you are going the DYI route as you need to disconnect power and discharge existing capacitor otherwise you may electrocute yourself.

This and a replacement of the diode solved a problem where this microwave blew the high voltage fuse. This capacitor is identical to the original unit.I hope to get another nine years of use.

After getting a diagnosis and a $50 service call only to be informed that they would have to get the part make another service call and charge their hourly rate with no guarantee of success , I decided I would roll the dice and give this a shot myself. Probably just got lucky but it worked and I guessed I probably saved myself another $75 or $100 minimum and considerably more in replacement cost by resurrecting this $400 microwave. Probably installed the part about 6 months ago.

This part is literally the same one (exact size, specifications and manufacturer) that came in my GE microwave model JVM1740. Oven made a loud noise and all lost power. 20 Amp/250V fuse was blown so I knew another part failure caused it. In testing the various parts, found it was the capacitor - showed continuity on volt meter when it shouldn't. Replaced capacitor & fuse and now it's back up and running. First capacitor lasted 7+ years. Hopefully will get that or more out of the new one.
