What is the exact distance between the backing plate and the small knob that sticks up?

My caliper says 1.45” from the wall. From wall to tip of knob sticking out off it. This does include the adhesive backing. I’d be more accurate if it wasn’t installed already though.

Can you remove the adhesive and use construction glue instead?
