ThoroGOOD!!!
My husband swears by these boots. He's a project manager and walks all sorts of terrain for jobsites. He says these are the only boots that have lasted him more than 6 months. We have tried all the name brands, and these are the only ones he will use now. He's 6'1 and 270 lbs so not a small guy. No knee or back pain either. Definitely worth the money!

Very comfortable, a little heavy but nothing you won't get used to. seems to last awhile.

American Blue Collar!
I have worn steel toe work boots since I was 17 and I am 50 years old now. I wear them everyday and these are as comfortable as any I have ever had on my feet. I have worked construction, paper mills, and underground and surface coal mining. These a good boots. Thank you Thorogood.

Nice work boots/update not even a year
These are the type of boots I like for work n heavy civil water an sewer construction. There really nice once you get them broke in it took me about 7 days and I pre oiled them heavily before taking them to jobsite cause for 400.$ I don’t want them to be useless after a year these bitches better last for at least two years. This is the first time I’ve ever had Thorogood boots everybody I know said they were top notch so I figured I’d give them a try you only live once next will be red wing if these don’t last hope this helps I’ll keep updating as the year progresses 😁🤘And here we are not even a year later and there just like the pictures from every one else and I’m an operator loader950-966-972 and I’m a excavator operator as well 308 up to 390 and I don’t get it these where supposed to be the best boots 400$ I went back to something I know lasts longer and looks nicer and cheaper Carolina’s I wouldn’t buy these American made boots again even if they were a dollar it’s just not worth it.

Seems cheaply made for an expensive boot
I bought these because I couldn’t find an uninsulated version of the Chippewa boots that I wanted for sale anywhere. My initial impressions are lackluster to be honest. I will say the fit and comfort are excellent. However, for a company that touts being American made in a union led facility, I’m disappointed when comparing them to my Vietnamese made Chippewa boots. The eyelets are single grommet stamped into the leather versus double sided grommets, the speed lace hooks appear to be stamped brass with sharp edges also simply stamped into the leather versus being double sided and riveted. I can see the hooks flexing a lot when I lace them up. I’m actually lacing them a bit looser than I normally would for fear of ripping them out as others have complained of. Left and right are equally comfortable, but after standing and looking down, the left upper looks to be cut for someone with a severely over pronated ankle. The edges where it’s laced don’t line up properly. My kids immediately dubbed the right one to be my “dork boot”, because the toe of the sole was so sloppily trimmed in such a way that it looks like it has buck teeth and a severe overbite. Also, the laces don’t go as close to the toe as I’d like, but that’s more a matter of personal preference. They were just delivered last night and honestly I regret the purchase and considered returning them but decided to wear them to work today to see how they fair. While the suede like finish would be gorgeous on the street or in an office environment, I’ve already stepped in mud with them and they’re cosmetically ruined. While that doesn’t bother me, I doubt they can be returned in this condition. Part of the reason I wanted water proof is because I stomp around in mud and muck all day, and I’ve never had a new pair of boots that still looked new by lunch time. My mistake, I should have taken that into consideration. If anything goes wrong with the grommets or speed hooks, thankfully my town still has a cobbler, and I have a sander to correct the right boot’s overbite. After spending over $100 more than the boots of my choice would have cost if I could find them anywhere, I’m quite peeved. I wish I would have continued shopping even more diligently before giving up and getting these.

Tough
When I say tough I mean they are tough to break in, tough on your feet for a while, but good quality. I’m still not sure if I broke them in or if they broke my feet in, but I can wear them all day now. I bought 2 pair because I don’t like wearing a pair of boots 2 days in a row and both pair were just a stubborn. Now I hope they last because they are comfortable and I’m not looking forward to breaking new ones in.
