I had the most putrid odors coming from my sink drain. After taking the stopper out, there was so much gunk and mold in the top pipe of the drain it was absolutely disgusting. None of the local big brand stores had any replacements with a nickel finish so I ordered this product. The quality of the parts seems very good. I don't mess with plumbing so I had my plumber come out and install this and he also replaced the P-trap because it was so gross. He said the parts seem to be good quality and it all went together without a hitch. I have been using the drain daily for over a week and there are no leaks.

I use this because for some reason the PVC started leaking around where the sink stopper Pull lever ball joint is at. Easily removed the old one, dropped this one in place, And boom, in less than Five minutes leak repaired without even the need for plumber tape. Very cost-effective Replacement and super easy to install.

Good quality material, however, the junction on the drain pipe leaked as mentioned in one of the other reviews. Was able to rectify the problem with a little plumber's putty.Would have gotten 5 stars except for this problem.

I am also a plumber and have installed hundreds of name brand pop-up assemblies. This one is no different. It seems to be good quality for the price. Better than the cheap ones from the big box home improvement stores. I installed it my son’s bathroom with no issues at all. Works great. No leaks. Yes, I do use Teflon tape on the threaded parts. I will be purchasing this item again next time I need one. Highly recommend it. Note to the DIYers…be sure the assy you purchase is all brass, NO plastic tailpiece. You’ll be glad you did.

The item description doesn't say it and the picture is somewhatdeceptive. Don't order this if it's for a sink with no overflow. Lookslike a good quality item, though. Too bad they couldn't figure outhow to describe it properly.

There are zero instructions so if this is your first time installing a drain like me, you should watch a few instructional videos on youtube first. Almost all of them will tell you to use thread tape or dope on the lower pipe. That is why so many other reviews report of leaks in the same place. For me, installation was straightforward. It's been a week and I've been checking it for leaks and so far no leaks. Do not use your bare hands on the threads, they are razor sharp!

Its leaking thru the sealed joint. . . so i had to silicone the whole mid section. but its cheap and fast chipping so what you gonna do.
