Great optics!
I don't know about durability or longevity.... However, the quality of the lens electronics and LCD are fabulous. The hood material is very thin and flexible but it doesn't need to be thicker to do its job and weight is the enemy for something hanging off your face. It's very light and comfortable. The weight is distributed well over the harness. I flipped it up and actually forgot I had it on for a few minutes. But, the lens shading and image is great. I've been wearing a much older Hobart auto lens for ~15 years(?) At the first arc, I honestly panicked a bit. To me it seemed like the lens didn't darken! At least for a few seconds until I realized. Cool! The arc is blue, the puddle is red, the back of my glove is mustard yellow, and I can see the edge of the plate to keep the weld running straight. Maybe all of them are like this now, but I'm astounded by the clarity. Before I could see a bright blob (the arc), a smaller less bright blob (the puddle), and nothing at all outside half an inch of the light from the arc. Turning it down only overwhelmed with glare and turning it up just made the bright blobs dimmer. It was welding by feel really. I'm a few hours of use in now, and it's great. Hopefully it continues to work and nothing breaks. The best $45 I've spent since I started welding. Being able to see makes welding easy.

Very clear view, even when welding
I've use helmet several times and I love it, the view is green but who cares as long as you can see clear what you're doing, is very useful when you're starting a weld because you can see where you are positioning the stick, without it I always move and I started in the wrong place, so to me it has been an amazing experience.

The good and the bad.
This product is good for the price point. It is lacking in some of the smaller details of better products. The headgear is decent, but cumbersome to adjust. As far as durability, we will see. I hope it holds up. The one thing that I didn't like was the fit of the safety lenses. Both the inner and outer have a poor fit over the lens and I had to remove them and clean the lens after just a couple of hours of welding. I did manage to get them in there better, but it still isn't sealed very well. I would buy it again, just because you cant expect a great product for such a great price.

Great quality at a great price
I don't have a lot of time using the Yeswelder hood yet, so I may find some annoying issues, but I don't think so. Other reviews complained that is was not as strong of ridged as other hoods. I find it compares to my Lincoln Viking very well. The Yeswelder hood has comfortable headgear, that stays in the up position until a head nod brings it down. The true color is amazing once the initial surprise is over. The most best feature is that there is a cheater lens available that covers the whole large window. The external adjustments are larger than all the other hoods that have the adjustments on the inside. With the Viking and the previous Miller I had, I needed to get an magnifier to be able to change sensitivity, delay and shade. I believe this is a better hood than the $300 + Viking and the $400 + Miller.

It's a good helmet
nice and comfortable, big viewing face, don't hesitate to buy it . comes with a spare battery and 2 extra front face inserts. you can also put a cheater lens in it if wanted

So far I love it
I have been welding with a Harbor Freight helmet for years. It gave up and I ordered this one. I knew the old one was not great but until I got this new one I didn't realize what a piece of junk the old one was. I love this helmet. Full disclaimer, I am not a professional welder and use this with my Lincoln wire feed welder. My welder is nothing fancy and this helmet may work differently for other types of welders.

Awesome!
Just gave it a try.....Awesome! Very comfortable and the clarity for my older eyes was leaps and bounds better then my old helmet... I was more or less welding blind, I could only see the arc and not tell what the puddle was doing. Look forward to actually using it! As far as durability time will tell, as I am only a hobby welder!

Disappointed with the poor quality.
You get what you pay for. I wasn’t even able to test the auto darkening lens or put the helmet on, because of the extremely poor quality plastic headgear mechanism which was jammed and broken. I read the instructions on adjusting the headgear, but the adjustment knob would not budge. It was cranked all the way down to the smallest setting and the mechanism was either stripped or broken. The helmet itself is much thinner than regular welding helmets, and flexes and loses its shape very easily. It was jammed into a smal box, and when I took it out the helmet was kind of lopsided and misshapen from being squeezed into the box. I own several YES welders and have been satisfied with them, but this Chinese helmet is trash. The helmets sold by HF discount tools is much better quality, with much of the headgear mechanism being silicone cushions, compared to the foam pads on the YES welders helmet. The foam pads on the YES welder headgear will just get soaked with sweat when welding. I know it’s a cheap helmet, but I wasn’t expecting something this poor in quality from YES Welder. Don’t waste your time or money.
