Battery performs as advertised. The only observed difference between this item and the "official" Sony battery is that the progressive green LED charge capacity lights do not illuminate during charging to indicate the state of the charge. On the Sony brand battery those lights do show the charging progression. After charging, the lights on this unit do operate to show the charge remaining when the button is pushed.

Purchased a couple of these for an older FS5 MKII. Good dependable power that will keep that little camera viable for a while longer...great value, too!

I've used Wasabi Power products for years, and never had a single problem with anything I've bought from them. But, still I was skeptical because these are cheaper than the competition. I'm happy to report that these batteries work exactly as they should on my FS5 on firmware version 4.02FOLLOW UP: After 8 months, both of my Wasabi Power BP-U60 batteries have kept on powering my FS5 as they should. But, the check lights on both have failed. Not da deal breaker, but those lights do really come in handy when you're reaching in your bag to grab a fresh battery and want to know roughly how much power it has left. This I've taken off a star because of this, as it's clear that the price and quality of these batteries are well aligned.

Great backup battery for SONY Z200

Even though the battery sticks out on the back of my new Sony nx800, it gives the camera 300 minutes of record time. That's 5 hours. And that's going to make for plenty of recording. I like that it has a button to check the battery life on the back. This is my first time using Wasabi power and I am impressed. I'm actually thinking of grabbing one more and that will be a whole day of recording. I was thinking it's going to be a lot heavier and make the camera feel unbalanced but it doesn't actually make the camera back heavy. If you put your index finger in the center of the handle it actually makes the camcorder balance even. With the stock battery which is a u35 it's actually front heavy. So even though it looks a little bulky on the back end it makes handheld much better. Highly recommend

Garbage. Died after a year. Used it for backup and now it won’t charge. Sony batteries are much older and still going strong.

I bought this as a backup to my bp-35 battery that came with my Fx6 and when that battery depleted this worked like a champ. A huge plus is that it works with the OEM Sony Charger so you don't have to worry about it bricking your camera

Great battery however the battery taps out at 30% left. SO pay attention to your lcd while using this battery. One other important caveat is when I connect the battery to my EX1R, the camera will show an error message stating "improper connection". After re connecting once or twice the camera powers up. There is only one way to connect it- So besides those 2 details, the batteries run solid ......Good Luck!
