I Use in Every Oil Change for Flat Head Engine
Great break-in oil additive at a great price. I used this in my early 1940's Willys Jeep when we rebuilt the original flathead L134 engine. Added a bottle of this when we filled it with oil for the first time. Drove the Jeep 1,000 miles and changed the oil. I will continue to add a bottle of this break-in additive to each oil change, because it is formulated for my older engine. Great product.

Good for older engine designs
A good engine break-in lube to protect a flat tappet camshaft during break-in. Modern oils do not have the proper additives for use with flat tappet cams used on older engine designs to prevent wear during break-in or operation. Using diesel engine oils or this additive seems to be the only way to get the older style flat tappet cams to live. This additive should be used in addition to diesel engine oil during the break-in period and after the first oil change. After break-in and the first oil change the diesel engine oil should suffice.

A must have for new cams or rebuilt engines.
The oil we have now with the star burst sign lacks zinc and ph. Because it could plug up the catalitic converter. So the goverment made the oil companys.reduce the zinc and ph. That is what made the cams last. So now you need to use this for break in. And on older engines should use at every oil change to protect the cam and lifters on any performance engine. Most all racing oils have enough in there package you could get by with out after break-in. That is why the newer cars/trucks have roller cams.
