Good adaptor, high cost but works with iPad Pro 2018
Works with iPad Pro 2018 12.9" model fine using the USB-C connector. It has a metal body as apposed to the cheaper plastic options on the market. If I had seen this up front I probably wouldn't have paid so much for it, but it's here and it works, so let's hope it lasts...

Finally a hub that actually works.
This hub feels solid and offers precisely the functionality I need for my ipad Pro. Power in via USB c, midi keyboard connected and audio output all at the same time. Perfect!

USB C connector adaptor for the iPad pro
The adapter has two snags, one is you cannot use it if your iPad is in a case. The other is that it does not allow Files to read all types of external USB drives the sockets allow you to connect, The connector seems to only work one way round, unlike the normal standard for USB C.

Great device but price a bit steep

Headphone Jack NOT WORKING
the (HEADPHONE JACK Doesn't work )(Problem SOLVED after forcing the cable into the jack) , and the adapter is LOOSE and SHAKY, even without any casing. Usb a and usb C doworks, just tried out hdmi, output with netflix always blackscreen and only shows subtitles, not sure why.

No HDCP Protection
Overall the item is a great idea but a bad implementation. The headphone jack is welcome but the USB ports have limited use. Something which is a major issue and why I returned it was the lack of HDCP protection within the device which meant that I could not use it to play movies from iTunes via a HDMI cable.

Power delivery issue with stock iPad Pro 18w charger
An issue with power delivery means that for my iPad Pro 12 inch (3 gen) shows not charging when adapter is plugged in with stock iPad charger. I contacted support and it is due to power degradation associated with using the adapter. iPad still chargers however just very slowly and not at all under heavy load. (When playing heavy games etc).this means I have to use a 60w power adapter (like the one for the new Mac book) rather than the iPad Pro’s 18w to make it charge at full capacity and allow for all the USB ports to work. I like satechi and there products but in hindsight due to the power issue I’d probably go for the hyperdrive and take the £30 extra hit.
