YG-1 28573 Carbide Alu-Power End Mill, 3 Flute, 45 Degree Helix, Regular Length, Square, Uncoated Finish, 2-1/2" Length, 1/4"

I have for years used very expensive end mills with various coatings. They all cut aluminum, but not like this end mill. This mill has an almost mirror-like finish that has very low friction when cutting. It is amazing how fast it cuts! I don’t recommend many of the products I purchase but this end mill is wotyhy of praise for cutting aluminum. I would not think it wound be good for steels.

This only has 5/8" flute length. The picture makes it look like it's 1-1/4".

Great end mill if you’re machining aluminum. Nice finish and fast cuts I’d recommend giving it a try. Be sure you ramp plunge so you don’t chip a flute and it will last awhile through much use.

I like to use this line for 6061 wrought aluminum

Cutter was in a package neatly bagged and wrapped over with a label that showed exact matching information. What was inside was a HSS 1/4" spotting drill from Korea. Damn good thing it was a spare for the cabinet and not needed to get a job.

These are stub length end mills, not as pictured. Would not have bought them if I knew this.
