They're super simple to expand - you just plop them in warm water for like 10 min and they rehydrate, leaving you with a TON of incredible, moist, tasty black fungus 🍄🟫 wood ear mushrooms🍄!!!! They go perfectly in Asian soups, on burgers, etc etc..... whatever you choose to put them in)on. .... ..You really get a LOT for the price!!!! Excellent quality and fun to "grow" , delicious and a healthy addition to any meal!!!! Highly recommend em!!..

They're all ears
I'm not a tree ear connoisseur, but these seemed fine for my purposes. I made some sensational hot and sour soup, and they reconstituted beautifully.

High quality, extra tasty!
Excellent product! High quality wood ear mushrooms, extra tasty and crunchy. This made my hot and sour soup so delicious. Don't let the small packages fool you! These things really do expand about 10 times the size that you see in the box. Would highly recommend!

Good value with things to improve
I used to buy organic dried wood ear when I traveled to China. This is not organic but the mushrooms seem quite clean and not spoiled.Dislikes:- The expiration date is pasted to the plastic wrap instead of printed on the product itself. This means the distributor can change it if they want, which does happen in many Chinese grocery stores.- I ordered it in February 2020. My product shows Manufacture Date 3/2019 and Exp Date 3/2024. This suggests 5-year shelf life which is much longer than the 12-24 months I usually saw on other similar products. The individual blocks do not seem air tight enough to me to last 5 years.- There are no list of ingradients so that people would know whether it contains sulfur.

Perfect Woodear mushrooms 🍄❣️
This package comes with 10 little compressed bricks of Whittier mushrooms. I know it's strange but I love super cute small things, and I could not understand how there were so many mushrooms in one of these small two by one inch bricks. I broke off a corner of one of these bricks and soaked it in warm water for 30 minutes and I wish shocked at how many mushrooms I had! Easily enough for three bowls of ramen. What are your mushrooms are one of the best additions to ramen in my opinion and I will probably have enough mushrooms for at least 6 months. That is if I eat ramen a few times a week.Flavor and texture after rehydrated is wonderful, this is a delicious product and a great buy!

Premium Dried All Natural Compressed Chinese Wood Ear Fungus
I was encouraged by the many positive reviews the Premium Dried All Natural Compressed Chinese Wood Ear fungus. So I ordered it, and received the product swiftly. I was impressed by the cleanliness. The fungus is dried, compressed and neatly packed wrapped individually into little 'bricks', which can be easily cut in half with a serrated knife. A half-brick supplied reconstituted wood ears for 2 meals/per 2 people. I made hot sour soup, and a 'Buddha's Feast. I enjoy the wood ear in these dishes at restaurants, and am glad to be able to have them at homemade meals. These are fungi, but they resemble a black glossy seaweed in appearance and texture. They are nothing like shiitake or crimini, or even oyster mushrooms. I let the dried brick soak for 1 hour in warmish water, and then removed the 'ears' one by one to trim out the hard nub with scissors-the nub can be felt with the fingers in both large and small pieced. Then rinsed them. I cut half the larger ears into strips for the soup, and kept the trimmed whole ones for the vegetable stir fry. They have a subtle taste, and the texture is pleasantly unusual. I'm looking forward to making mu shu with these wood ears.
