I am always looking for quality incense and this one fits the bill. It definitely is close to the church incense smell and it is one of the longest lasting sticks I have ever purchased. I have purchased this item twice already and will continue to do so in the future. Great value!

I have sampled real rolled resin frankincense incense sticks from a reputable brand, I absolutely smell it in this. I can also tell by the grey color of the stick and the longer burn time (in comparison to ordinary incense) that there is real resin in these. This is wonderful stuff, very high quality. No charcoal BBQ odor to it, just pure resins and something sweetly aromatic. I don't know why people compare this to Nag Champa, it does NOT smell like that, and yes it contains actual church resins- I smell them in it. As for the reviews saying this doesn't smell like their church's incense, Eastern Orthodox churches use many different scents for different occasions. There isn't one deinitive "church smell". This is authentic and lovely and it lasts longer than most sticks do, so you get great value for the price. I adore frankincense and this is IT.

I’m not sure what anyone is expecting but all the fragrances can be smelled and they take a long time to burn and you only need one if you’re using it in the house. Great product!

I burn a lot of HEM incense, the Moon, palo santo, coconut, vampire blood, bewitching...those are my go to's. This was a blind by based on other reviews and the intriguing name. When I opened the box my immediate reaction was "ugh! Head shop! Smells like Nag champa!" But I burned a stick anyway. Surprisingly, it doesn't smell like nag champa when lit. In fact, it's such a comforting smell that I burned it in every room.It's also the most long lasting Incense I've ever used. Longer lasting than other HEM sticks so I don't know if I got a freakishly concentrated batch but I hope future boxes last as long. Because I'll definitely keep this in rotation.

A few months ago, I read somewhere that the best way to get a long lasting scent in one's house is incense. Since then, I have been on a quest to find one with a scent that is enduring. Well... I have found it. I burned two sticks of this incense last night and when I came home this evening, the scent had lingered and it was hardly subtle. Not to mention, I love it. As far as incense goes, this is the real deal.The aroma somewhat reminds me of church though not the Catholic incense burned in a censer at high mass. It does have a hint of the aroma of entering a church on any given day. What I liken it to is the smell of a new age book shop with beads in the doorways and lots of crystals. It's a bit overwhelming at first as it is so very pungent. Once you settle into it, you will be pleasantly enveloped by its delicious scent each and every time you light a stick.In all, I'm thrilled with my purchase.

Couldn't get through one stick. Harsh smoke. Was coughing and hacking. Threw them away. Plant Guru brand incense is far better quality.

My biggest complaint it that it smells a bit soapy but the overall essence is that of a church/temple. It certainly puts me in the mood for my prayers. These last for a very long time, longer than most other incense sticks I have purchased of similar size. They also appear to be fashioned better as the material does not flake off of the stick. This not only saves me from a powdery mess, but also means I'm getting more lovely fragrance in the air and less in my drawer!
