I wouldnt say it folds up flat but u definitely do not need to disassemble it..u just make it collapse and can stand it up or lay it down..hope this helps

ITs actually a rather small tee-pee. It only sits about 4.5 to 5 feet high. A rug that is 4x4 maybe.
