Good reach and hold.
Stable and lightweight when fully extended, the hold on cut branches is strong, allowing one to pull out brambles and the like when entangled with other plants. Not one for thick woody stems, but performs well with the lighter stuff. Haven't used the saw blade.

Very easy to use
Lightweight compared to other long cutters this is easy to use, operating at several lengths with a scissors like mechanism. It is only designed for light pruning but comes with an attachment to act as a saw if needed. Quality from this manufacturer is normally excellent.

Great buy
I really like this instrument. I haven’t used the saw as it’s tricky to change over which loses it a star, but otherwise it’s pretty good.

Brilliant
This is a brilliant tool, and really easy to use. We have a 12ft long summerhouse, and the house behind us was sold to someone who just rents it out. The people who rent it aren't interested in the garden, so we now have ivy strangling our back fence, and encroaching into the back of the summerhouse. This tool cut it away, and allowed me to pull it out from behind it, so it I'd now pretty clear. Highly recommend this item.

Secateurs onna Stick!
It really is as good as it looks - six feet of reach when not extended, going up to about 10' when fully extended, and you can extend it by increments. The handle/trigger grip thing swivels, so you can get even those annoying branches that twist out of the way. The black section by the trigger is a black rubber sleeve which you can slide up and down the pole, meaning that you have a comfy grip with the other hand, wherever you need it. Nice on cold days. It's very lightweight in use: at full extension it can bobble about a bit and it's so far away that it can be tricky to see which branch you're going for! It took me a few minutes to get the hang of the "right" way round to snip, but once I'd worked out that the red side was the grippy side, it all got a lot easier. And it's lovely not having to keep ducking from a rain of branches falling on my head.As other reviewers have said, it is not a heavy-duty tool: quite literally secateurs on a stick. Absolutely fab for wisteria, pergola roses, roses and other climbers up the front of the house. Not sure how it will cope with my apple trees. As an added benefit, it also comes with a saw blade which is very simple to attach at the top, and although - again - not a particularly heavy-duty saw, it managed to get through some conifer branches that were otherwise way out of reach, even with a ladder.Best of all, short enough to get it in the car!

Brilliant
I wish I had got this a while back as the telescopic reach has allowed me from standing on the ground to remove growth from a plant winding around telephone wire to the cottage without having to use steps. The snapper holds well after cutting. Its very sharp, well made and from a British Brand. It's also lightweight for the extent of the reach so keeps me from having to ask for help or get someone in to do The work needed. The added bonus of the saw blade attachment will allow for cutting some of the thicker growth on a Hawthorne hedge. I purchased a pair of Darlac garden snips from a local garden centre and that is why I chose this brand on Amazon. Great value and all round exceptional quality and performance. I would buy again !

Light weight and easy to use but could do some improvements
This cutter is excellent for those hard to reach bushes and trees. It is light weight and easy to use.It would be helpful if the cutter jaws were wider just so it was easier to line them up around tree branches as they are quite small and hard to line up when you have it fully extended. The only other improvement would be that the cutter was able to cut through slightly thicker branches, rather than having to use the saw for them.Overall it's very good but isn't quite as good as it could be.

Lightweight and long reach pruner
The good reach and light weight. Great for Wisteria but not strong enough for 5mm+ twigs.
