Barbie Made to Move Doll, Tall Basketball Player, with Extra Flexibility

The Barbie Made To Move Basketball Player is a baller, she has: gorgeous dark brunette hair, (which is exceptional down)beautiful grey with dark blue eyestall body typethe 2014 Crystal head sculptthe light Coppertone skin tone.The accessories she comes with pink sneakers, and an orange basketball with Barbie's name, her head silhouette(both in black) ,and a small bracket for her finger on it.The shorts she comes in have an elastic band on top with white in the back ,but dark blue, pink, and white on the front.The sides on the front of her tank top is navy blue, with pink and white stripes going across diagonally. In the middle of her tank top is white and decorated with the number 59 (in dark blue), outlined in pink, sports her team MALIBU ends with a flaming pink basketball, a patch of a basketball player with 3 pink stars above it, on the opposite side is the famous MATTEL logo. The back of her tank top is white, has 4 pink stars, and 59 in blue and pink similar to the front but larger. I love, appreciate, and recommend this Barbie.

I love that this doll has the features of the Tall Fashionista body, but with Made To Move articulation. Her feet are also Tall feet, so they're a bit longer than Original feet. Uniform is 2 pieces with velcro closures in back. Basketball has a little loop you can attach to doll's thumb so that the doll can hold the ball without assistance. Ball is pretty cool, even if it's not exactly to scale. Kids will love this and immediately need to create some sort of makeshift basketball hoop!I found the second joint of the elbows to be stiff at first. Push hard or heat plastic with hair dryer to allow for initial loosening, then bend back and forth until bend loosens a little.

Doll arrived safely, in fine shape, including her packaging. She's very cute and her tall Made to Move body poses perfectly. She also has lovely dark hair and it looks great when taken out of the side ponytail. Not really a fan of the outfit, which is okay for what it is, a sports outfit. While hot pink plastic sneakers do fit the doll, they fit very snugly, so be gentle when putting them on or removing from doll's articulated feet / ankles, so as to avoid any possible damage. I find that warming shoes a bit with warm water helps with this task, so they more easily go on or off feet.

Mine has a defect where it doesn't have the blue in the eyes. I like her better for this -- I've seen the blue-eyed ones in the store, and mine is prettier. Her eyes are a nice, soft, dark grey instead. I hope I never have to replace her, because I'll probably never find another one with this beautiful defect.

I love the simple face paint, and no pink lipstick. The feet tend to swivel around and are a bit loose but otherwise I really am glad I bought her. She was waiting in my “saved for later” list for a while. When I finally decided to get her she went from around $14 to $19. Then I noticed her for under $12 but in damaged packaging... so she came to live with me.

She's GORGEOUS! My daughter almost has all the made to moves, she loves them so much, we're missing the soccer ones, hopeing to find them for her at a decent price, love that they are all different, she loves how this one is tall, we are hoping and praying mattel makes new made to move dolls, it you want a doll your kid actually plays with get a made to move, my daughter is only 5 and she has me take pictures of her with her barbies in all kinds of poses, its the cutest thing ever!!

It’s wonderful to have a truly tall made to move Barbie! I included a sans-clothing photo for comparing her to other dolls for your information. This doll is in the center. On the far right is the curvy dancer MTM doll (headswapped with a fashionista), and on the right between her and this doll is the blonde Baseball Player made to move, which is the original body type. Far left is a petite fashionista, and left side between petite and this doll is a Tall fashionista doll with the stiff body. You can see that the Tall made to move has a bit more of a waist than the Tall fashionista. Also, on my dolls, this doll’s skin tone is identical to the Curvy dancer made to move, although I know sometimes this can vary a bit.

Very nice doll but I failed to realize this doll was much taller than the usual dolls. I was buying it to go in the Barbie wheelchair fir my Daughter’s book report that needed a brown haired doll. My Daughter still loved the doll although the clothes she changed her into were shorter because the basketball doll was taller. My mistake for rushing to order because there were only 2 left & didn’t see the word “tall” in the description until after we received the doll & I went back to see. This doll is still a great buy, just taller.
