Works well for soap
Use this pine tar for pine tar soap. Works well, does not speed up trace if you know what you are doing. Cures fast.

Pine Tar Soap!
I used this product to make my very first batch of Pine Tar soap. This was my first experience ever using pine tar, so I made sure to learn everything I could about it before even opening the can. I am a seasoned soap maker, but the process for making pine tar soap is vastly different. I did not deviate from any instructions, and my soap turned out amazing! I will definitely be making more, and will continue to use this product.

Great Product
I use this to create a hoof-hardening mixture for my horse. She had seriously overgrown hooves that had split 75% of the way up. After consistent application and good trims her feet have come a long way. This has been really helpful to harden the hoof and prevent it from splitting further.

It's become my goto for soap
Over a couple years I have tried literally all of the pine tars and pine tar soaps available on Amazon. That being said the best soap was the Healthy Porcupine and the best tar was the Auson kiln tar. For soap making this Bickmore pine tar is a perfect mix of affordability, workability, and scent. It does not have the smoky pine scent like the Auson tar which is 4x the price. Unlike the other cheaper tars Bickmore does smell like pine. The other cheaper tars tend to smell like asphalt or turpentine. The 25% tar soap I make with Bickmore I compare directly to Packer's pine tar soap scent wise.

Smells strong works great
Don't use this with anything that isn't disposable. I use plastic cups to measure it out and wooden popsicle sticks to help get it out. And I put a piece of foil in the groove before I pour if I'm doing a large amount. It's a PITA to get it out of the groove, but you will hate yourself if you don't. Great product. Smells awful, fades in the soap.

Good for retaining moisture.
Rub it into your hands morning and evening. It helps prevent you skin from drying out, prevents skin from cracking and bleeding. It's ugly, a bit messy but it helps a lot. All natural.

good stuff
got it for making a bug repellent, historically known as "bug dope" I used 3 parts pine tar, 2 parts castor oil, 1 part lavender essential oil, which for 16 oz equals 15 ounces pine tar, 10 ounces castor oil, 5 ounces lavender essential oil. and I would just throw in the extra ounce of pine tar to finish it. I was thinking of making a new batch with this one and a using 1 ounce or 2 of lemon eucalyptus oil or oil of lemon eucalyptus and 3 or 4 ounces lavender oil. anyways, it works pretty well against mosquitos, need to test with ticks.
