De'Longhi Combi Coffee Machine, Traditional Pump Espresso and Filter Coffee, 1.25 Liter, BCO431.S, Black and Stainless Steel

Like: having 2 methods in one machine and ability to use ready ground coffee or ESE pods in the Expresso holder.Machine is stylish and is a combination of black plastic and aluminium metal exterior and steel inner pumps, heaters etc. and there is a keep warm plate for the filter carafe plus a steam nozzle to froth up milk for expresso cappuccino & latte drinks.Dislike: Italian instruction leaflet is printed back to front (can't think of any logical reason for this) and could be more comprehensive for novices.Cons: This was an Amazon Warehouse open box return/ non original packaging sale at a fairly heavy discount (cheaper than the Prime da deal price). HOWEVER on unpacking discovered the following items were MISSING (not specified by Amazon Warehouse listing which would have been useful and friendly) and as I couldn't be bothered to return for a refund had to be sourced from Amazon & eBay at extra cost and huge effort to identify the right parts as not available via Delonghi's website before being able to use either brewing method. NB: neither Delonghi, eSpares or other 3rd party suppliers list ANY parts for the BCO341.S but the standard size 4 Delonghi Drip filter for other machines and the DLSC002 expresso water tank filter ("Fits De'Longhi ECAM, ETAM, EC680, EC800") seem a standard size and fit for this Combi machine.Missing items in Amazon Warehouse package::1) Permanent gold filter for the drip machine dispenser (£10.81 from ebay)2) Water filter cartridge for the expresso water tank (£19.50 for a set of compatibles via Amazon - Delonghi originals are around £7.95 - £12.00 or so EACH)3) Expresso measuring scoop and coffee tamperSo:Full marks for machine, hard to find something better without doubling or tripling the purchase price.LOW marks for Amazon Warehouse service and attention to detail given the critical missing permanent filter!

I had been looking for something to replace my filter coffee maker and I wanted to get an espresso maker too so this product was perfect!Originally purchased in July 2021, it arrived promptly and at first worked well. I loved that I now had a choice whether to have filtered or espresso. You can adjust the time the hotplate stays on by simply holding the ON button until the display starts flashing (I figured this out by mistake as no info in the instructions). Setting the automatic brew was easy and so convenient.After about a month it would have a temper tantrum every now and then, where you would turn it on to brew and nothing would happen just the ON led wouldn't stop flashing - easy enough to fix unplug it wait a few minutes and plug it back in.After reading the reviews before purchasing I was hesitant but if that was the worst it did was have a blinky light moment I could cope with that.BUT sadly this is where things go very wrong!!Middle of March 2022 we set it up to come on and nothing happened... BUT all the water had disappeared! It had leaked from somewhere all over the wall, counter top, floor etc.AMAZON customer service were fantastic and dispatched me out a new one next day and arranged for collection of the faulty unit.Not even 3 weeks later and this one has dumped it's water everywhere! Spoke to Amazon Customer Services again and they could only offer me a FULL refund as they will only replace the item once.But at this point we were fed up of it and agreed to the refund.As my title states it is a fantastic idea in theory having both machines as one - but sadly until they can fix the design flaws and the leaking (we never have figured out where it came from as the drip tray was dry)!Maybe you will be lucky enough not to receive a faulty one but it is a lot of money to take a gamble on.

Great coffee machine, makes a really nice espresso and great filter coffee.Espresso filter is high enough to get a mug underneath, milk frother works well and easy to clean.The filter side is easy to use and clean, (no filter papers needed)The timer function is amazing, great to get up in the morning to a freshly brewed pot of coffee.Had to request a replacement because the espresso side of the machine wouldn’t turn on with the first machine but that was processed easily.Can’t comment on the durability because only had it for a couple of months, but very pleased so far.

Pretty easy to use, however it does not come with a grinder or froth jar. Still makes a good coffee.

I saw this product on Amazon warehouse with about £200 off. It was delayed arriving and came without the box, missing the filter basket and some carbon filters. It cost me £18 to get those parts and the instructions I easily downloaded. What a bargain, there's a little crack in the plastic, but other than that it looks brand new. Machine fully works the auto feature is brilliant to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee. The espresso function you have to turn off yourself, which some people may find a little annoying as you have to wait by the machine, it doesn't annoy me and only takes about 1-2 min to fill a mug. For those that can't afford a top range machine this does everything for a reasonable amount and if like me you don't mind trawling through Amazon warehouse there's a bargain to have😁

Mine broke in just a few months it did the job okayish I returned and bought a better one

I am very happy with the coffee maker it's amazing, one of the best coffee makers for those who like a coffee bar style or classic brewed coffee. It's kinda difficult in the beginning to understand how the machines work but then, it is very easy to use. You can easily get coffee beans for a good price instead of wasting money on the capsules, I love the machine
