I purchased this tray for my spouse’s work from home setup. We already had one laptop stand, and the other arm was set up to hold a monitor. We wanted to have a dual laptop setup (work computer and personal) so this tray provided is with what we needed at a good price. One word of caution, the kit comes with a small hex wrench to aid in installation, but you will need to provide your own screwdriver. Not a huge deal since most people have one already, but it is something to be aware of.

Legion Pro 5, 16". Quite heavy since it's a gaming laptop. Even more, placed on a 17"-compatible fan base. The whole thing fits on the tray with room to spare. The lip is large enough for either the laptop or the fan base. I was worried about the lip due to other reviews; I can only see this being a problem if you tilt it at a significant angle (say 45deg). But FWIW, the lip and size were the two things I searched for through Amazon and couldn't find a tray with a bigger lip or larger size, so if that's your main hang-up, you're kinda stuck with this one anyway. My recommendation is: reconsider how you want your laptop placed in your cluster, to prevent needing such a steep angle.

This tray is as advertised. It cradles my 17" laptop perfectly.

I bought the VIVO SITSTAND1C, which comes with a keyboard tray — very pleased with that, by the way. I use a Macbook Air (not a keyboard), so I bought this and swapped the keyboard tray with this. I am very pleased. I've been using this laptop tray for a few weeks now. I love it.BEFORE I USED THE LAPTOP TRAY- (I was using the keyboard tray).- the keyboard tray did not hold my laptop well at all.the keyboard tray wobbled a lot when typing.(the keyboard tray was subpar in a few other ways)NOW THAT I USE THE LAPTOP TRAY- the laptop tray holds my 11" Macbook Air really well (it would also hold up to 15" machine no problem).there is almost no wobble while typing.it is not too big (or too small)OTHER INFOit was very (very) easily to install/swap.the holes for the screws are countersunk, so they will not protrude from the tray (so they will not scratch the bottom of your device).I imagine that the holes in the tray allow for better ventilation.this is very (very) sturdy. It's clearly over-engineered.COMPLAINTS(none)I really cannot recommend this highly enough. It’s been everything I needed it to be (and a bit more since it’s over-engineered). Now I just need to figure out how to sell or get a refund for the keyboard tray that I am not using.If you found this helpful, please say so below.

I'm not usually a positive review guy, but before buying this I was a bit pulled back by the negative reviews. I finally bought it. Arrived intact, exactly as advertised. Fits perfectly the VESA mount.I had another model before buying this, but laptop was running too hot on it. Bought this as it is wider than the previous, and I could place the laptop cooler on it, and laptop above the cooler. Perfect fit (with Zalman cooler - also the quietest option in the notebook cooler space, tried many until I found this to be exact match for cooling, silence and robustness)..

This is exactly what we needed to hold a laptop. It attaches to a VESA plate which is on the end of a desk-mounted monitor extension arm. We use it in the sound booth at our church and it gives us more flexibility in positioning our computer. The lip at the bottom is adequate to hold the laptop in place. It appears to be sufficiently sturdy as well.
