Facelift for old worn furniture!
I purchased this to refinish a computer table I found along the street. The table is MDF material with a vinyl sheet coating on it. The coating was in bad shape and it had been rained on, so it was blistered up and had to be removed. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to paint the table or use some sort of shelf paper to rejuvenate it. I found this product while looking for shelf paper.I found this material very easy to use. I used blue painters tape to help keep it aligned before removing the backing. I affixed one edge and then slowly pulled the backing back from under it at a low angle while using a flexible plastic squeegee to smooth it on the table top. The material is very flexible and I was able to wrap it around the convex curve and chamfer on the front. A heat gun will also help get a little more flexibility out of the material but don't overdo it. I left about 1-1/2" on the bottom to seal the edge. The corners of the desk were rounded, so I had to cut and overlap the vinyl. I also cut a small piece of vinyl to attach under the corner first so that if there was any spot that did not overlap, this would black out the spot. I did have some small bubbles that I simply poked with a pin and pushed the air out. The finished top is amazing looking! I liked the result so much that I wrapped the metal legs too and built a small riser from wood for a monitor stand, and covered that as well. Easy to get carried away!It has been about a year now and it has held up well. The vinyl is a little soft so I have a keyboard mat and use a coaster do keep it in good shape. The curved section were my hands and chair contact it the most looks like new. It may dent if I was to write on a piece of paper without something under it.This is a great product and once you use it, you will think of other things you can use it on. Give this a shot on something you were going to pitch or that doesnt look great. You can always peel it back off if you don't like it.

Shock at how amazingly this worked!!!
I am genuinely impressed with this product. I have never used peel and stick before so I was suspicious about how this might work. Before I did any major project, I tested an area of my kitchen near the sun and peeled it off after 5 weeks to see if it would *really* come off without a mess. It peeled off as perfectly as if I had just placed it with absolutely 0 residue. So I continued to the rest of my kitchen cabinets (in the photo). My apartment is lovely but I hated those honey colored cabinets. 2 rolls and 4 days later I have a brand new kitchen! It was easy to apply, it sticks really well to most surfaces, and it looks sleek and real. Not only that, but obviously some areas are too large to cover with one sheet, but with layering (with the underside peach color rim away from where the eye might see) it looks seamless.Ok, I have ONE gripe and it won’t stop me from buying this again- this won’t stick to ALL surfaces and it doesn’t bend easily. I had a few corners I tried to wrap around that the material would rather bubble up under. (Cutting the edges to lay flat exposed the lighter sticky-side color). I figured out eventually how to do it so sharp corners were covered, but not without extra material being eaten up. But that’s what you get with such thick material. Super happy with my modern new kitchen in my apartment for such a great price and little fuss. Thank you so much!

light pattern not too noticeble
Subtle pattern that shows nice and smooth. Easy application, but can be a little delicate don't stretch it too much when applying.

Looks good, nice alternative for furniture and etc.
I used black to cover the top of my living room table that was worn and scratched up but did not want to replace. For the most part it was simple to put on. This is a contact paper so for anyone thinking it is something else, it isn't. You peel the paper film off the back and lay it where you want it and it sticks with the adhesive already on the back. I was able to remove and replace when I made a mistake only having issues with that a few times. It has a nice wood grain faux appearance to it. You cut it the size you need with scissors. I took my time and it was fairly simple to add to the top of the table I was putting it on. It is waterproof so if a drink is left on it or spills it wipes right up. I wipe it down with a wet rag and it has held up pretty well to pets, kids, and everything else. The only downside to this contact paper is, it will tear and scratch easily. I have cats, both only have back claws and if they go to jump or run off the table they poke holes in it or scratch it. My kids use scissors and have scratched a few places too doing crafts. We have to slide the table out of the way when guests stay to fold out the sleeper sofa and upon bumping the edge against the wall shelves it peeled off the places we hit the table. After all, it is contact paper. I recommend this as an inexpensive way to make some types of furniture look refreshed again, it looks really nice, but keep in mind, it is not a permanent solution. I also got this in white and did all of my kitchen cabinets and they look very nice. Cannot tell it is contact paper. Make sure you sand down and remove any surface area defects before applying, even little ones. This is paper and will show EVERY single defect, bump, or anything through the paper. I was lazy on a couple cabinets and every place I did not smooth down, such as a few places of thick paint from where I previously painted the cabinets, shows through the paper and looks bad. Not had to remove the paper so no idea if it will leave a residue or not. I do think for what it is, contact paper, it is a little expensive though.
