Cut the foil
At first it struggled to push out some pills but, if you are able, use a sharp knife to put a small cut in the foil and then they push out easily. Less strain on the popper so hopefully will last longer. The two sized holes help though with very long pills needed to push at one end so they dropped vertically through the tube. So far very pleased.

Best thing for popping tablets worth the money.
Got this pill popper yesterday afternoon already buying a second one. My dad has been having trouble with doing his tablets due to weakness and that, we saw this thought worth a try he loves it. Strong enough to be used and less stress on your hands for the price we have paid was brilliant. All different sizes of tablets can be used for this is the best thing for tablets ever brought.

OK, UP TO A POINT
I bought this because of arthritic hands and fingers which were having difficulty with extracting tablets from very strong foil. It's a good thing for small tabs but when I try to extract the larger ones, it does tend to break them, especially the elongated pain killers which just snap in half. I try to get as many as possible out of the blisters and put them in a pot, which is more convenient for me, but approximately 10% of them are broken in half. I've put those in a different pot and obviously will take them in due course but I also take other larger tabs which should not be halved. I thought the 'gun' shaped popper would be much better than the ones where thumb and finger were used sp I'll persevere, but am disppointed.

An absolute must for anyone with arthritis
I saw this on “Guess the gadget” on The “This Morning” TV programme and on reading the reviews ordered for my parents who have lots of tablets to prepare weekly, and struggle to get them out of the blister packs. I initially thought it was a bit pricey but took a chance. I’m so glad I did, mum says it’s the absolute best thing I’ve ever bought for her. Preparing the weekly tablets is now super easy and importantly, pain free for her (and dad), it’s so easy to use and works well with all sizes of tablets / blister packs. I do think it’s a bit pricey: lots of end users won’t have that much disposable cash to purchase, especially in the current economic climate, but if you can afford it, it’s worth every penny.
