Air Missions Hind (PS4)

Seriously good, virtually real helicopter simulation. Extremely challenging and utterly brilliant. Hats off to the developers and hope they bring out other similar aircraft sims for the PS4. I use a Hotas 4 flight stick which is well suited to the game.

If you're looking for a helicopter simulator for ps4 (as I was) then this isn't for you as it is more arcade style, although it is possible to use a cockpit mode it is awkward and clearly designed for 3rd person pov, in the third mission you have to be a door gunner (that's right, no choice) &, after doing well in the first two missions, found this one far too difficult complete even in the easier difficulty modes & was quickly put off playing the game as I bought it to be the pilot not the door gunner. What I did play was amusing enough for the £14 I paid so look elsewhere for a helo sim (air conflicts?) or buy if you want an arcade game.

Ordered this game along with a Hotas 4 as I also have Ace Combat 7.Fancied something a bit different to driving and shooting games ( soldier type I mean ). The Hotas 4 was a bit of a pricey purchase but man does it transform flight sim/arcade games. Playing the VR missions in Ace 7 ramps the immersion up a level with the throttle and joystick controls....really makes you feel like you are in the cockpit !Ok, onto this game, watched a few vids on Youtube and then back to Amazon to order the game, came a day later than agreed via Prime but hey, no worries, it got here in the end. Popped the disc into my PS4 PRO and a couple of minutes later the game had installed....plugged in the HOTAS 4 , no messing around really, used a DS4 to start the game and then selected flight stick for the controller. Instantly found the stick and I was into the training very shortly after with absolutely no issues at all, very quick to pick up and play.The basic flight and weapons training has to be completed before you can progress through all the training elements. I only had to change one setting on the stick and that was to invert the nose up n down , all other controls easy to select and use and you can choose cockpit view, 3rd person etc.......graphics are very good too, sound is excellent . I spent over an hour just playing the basic training section, learning the controls , crashed the HIND a few times trying to hover and fire missiles at targets , great thing is, it's so good it gives you that "just one more go" feeling , eventually my other half was shouting up the stairs dinner was ready.......sorry Air Missions Hind, a Sunday roast will win every time lol !! ( PS, I sorted the kitchen and dishwasher after we'd eaten before I get accused of doing sweet FA and playing games whilst the missus cooks hehe ).So far loving the game, great immersion with the HOTAS 4 controller. No VR missions unfortunately hence 4 stars....infact make it 4.5. Great game and Amazon were the lowest price I could find. Happy gaming everyone ! ;-)

Bought for my godson who loved it. He found it very entertaining and has spent hours playing it. Good value for money as i see it

I really like flight sim shooters and was really looking forward to this, but after trying to master the controls it's like you need to have a pilot skills as you have to balance L3, the left stick and then the right stick just to move forward. I found myself then just moving back and forward and getting more and more frustrated with it....then you move on to the door gunner position and I just gave up. I am an avid gamer as well and think that I would have no issue picking this up and playing it. Very disappointed with it as there is no way to custom the controller to something sensible and the only option is to invert the Y axis, that's it! The graphics remind me of something from the PS3, it's such a step back and I am glad I waited until it's under £20 (even then that's £19.99 too much). The only reason I gave it two stars as there was no update when I inserted the disc of the first time and it loads almost instantly, which gives you an idea as to how basic the game is. I did not know that they would try to mimic Russian cold war technology in the game as well!

If carlsberg done video games... They'd have probably done this one, s*** control's, s*** target aiming system (even on easy) on the whole it must be one of the worse PS4 games ever made... Overcomplicated for a video game..... Shame

Good graphics and gameplay once you set it up right but even in easy mode its frustrating as you have to unlock the different weapons

The helicopter can be very difficult to control but once you get it down it’s a lot of funThe missions are pretty difficult but like I said, it’s a lot of fun and challenging and the graphics look really good

Amazing game, if you have thrustmaster tflight hostas 4 joystick. Go to the gane setting and change the input to Tflight and cibtroller to pilot otherwise u wont be abke to use the tflight.
