MESTEMACHER BREAD, Pumpernickel Bread, With Whole Rye Kernels, 17.6 Ounce (Pack of 3)

Mestemacher is the most heart-healthy bread available. Additionally, it is also g-f and low sugar (9 grams fiber per slice and only 3 grams of sugar). Also, imo, it is delicious and satisfying, whether eaten plain or toasted. This seller has proven to be utterly reliable. It is key to me to get my six-loaf purchase every six weeks (there are 7 slices of bread per loaf) and in the last couple of years, the seller has never failed to deliver. I highly recommend both the product and the seller.

I love the taste and texture of this pumpernickel bread. These are thin slices. I use it primarily with cream cheese and chive. I bought a multi pack and have frozen them. I have already finished the first pack, defrosted the second one, and found that the bread consistency is still good after to defrosting. This is now my go to morning Bread.

Because I'm gluten sensitive I've been looking for something with European origin that would have unadulterated ingredients. I think I found it in this bread. The secret is in adding a little butter and dropping it into a frying pan at low temperature. It's softens the bread and adds an additional flavor that I like. The nutty flavor is a treat. While it's not white bread, it's satisfying which has eliminated my craving for the softer breads. Additionally, it freezes well. So I bought a bundle and put everything in the freezer. It was about the same price as the grocery store shelf and the convenience outweighs a dollar here and there. More importantly, I found it a little difficult to find in the average grocery store, like Publix. Florida Publix does not have it while North Carolina Publix does. Go figure :-)

Wonderful, authentic flavor,but way too expensive to purchase regularly. This is a treat I buy for my diabetic self once a year. I buy a multi pack and freeze them, pulling out one loaf at a time, to savor. If I could afford it, I'd eat it year round.

this not like a good pumpernickel sandwich bread, it is hard dense and worthless to make sandwiches. i will not buy it again i quess i will stick with dark rye bread at walmart

We buy this pumpernickel bread regularly 6 packet every 2 month. We are very satisfied with theis pumpernickel bread as well as the care put in the delivery. Up to now we are entirely satisfied.

I had this bread daily when I visited Europe. Liked it so much that I continued to purchase it in the States when available. The past few years it has been harder to find but I was pleasantly surprised to find it here on Amazon.I have purchased this item 4 times already and the freshness is fabulous! The seller ships fresh, not a few months before the expiration date which is great and the actual shelve life is at least a year out after it arrives. The multi pack works out well for me since I eat this every day and I reorder when I am on my last pack to be sure to never run out.Don’t be afraid to order, it comes fresh and not broken !
