Use for bass....and it is now my go-to bass pick!
Had a variety pack I bouth a brick-and-mortar shop, and were drawn to these due to the guage. I tried many picks in my short bass playing lifetime, and these were the ONLY ones that felt comfitable, gave enought flex and give on my strings (D'Dad EXL160 & EXL160S), strong enough for my bands heavier songs, had enough grip for me if I had to re-posistion mid song (Max Grips were TOO much grip...aptly named ironiclly!), and were not over the top huge like those Fender "Dorito chip" picks I an old bandmate used to use in 97 (oddly I use these on acoustic occasionally).Recieved and tried a couple out with my usual Dunlop Big Stubby 2.0 on my basses. Fastest pick I could get my hands on that changed my playing...great dynamics for what I need, and everything I've listed above. So good I bought 2 more bags to give me the 72 I really wanted (GET ON THIS DUNLOP....72 is the magic number here!)If you're not a finger picker (I'm getting better), give em a shot....These are now my go to gig and have replaced the following picks in my pick bowl (and it's quite a list, if I do say so myself):1.5 Max Grips (rehearsal/studio back-ups)2.0 Big Stubby (Now my on stage back-ups)1.5 Delrin Prime Grips (I keep em just in case)Fender 355 pick HardFender Fender 346 Hard and Mediums.

Great Speed Precision Bright-Tone
The best bright tone pick I've ever tried and my main go to for this purpose. They wear very well and never flash like nylon. The sharp Jazz 3 tip gives it the precision I like. I prefer the XL size as the regular Jazz 3 still feels small to me. The 1.38mm is adequate since the Ultex material is extremely stiff. I think the pack of 6 is a very good value as they last so long. I can't fault anything on these and will buy them again. For a warmer, softer pick tone, my favorite is the Tortex Jazz 3 XL 1.5mm ..just note that they don't have the same raised texturing and feel slipperier in the hand. I drilled 2 3/16" holes in mine to prevent them from turning in my hand...yes I'm picky!

Really good guitar pick
If you like the Jazz IIIs but want a stiffer pick these might be perfect for you. They have raised lettering that helps keep a solid grip while playing. I just wish they were a bit pointier but still really nice picks. Another good thing is they last longer than standard Jazz IIIs.

My favorite
These picks are rigid and are perfect for getting deep tones out of an acoustic guitar.

great picks guys
these picks are awsome. i used to use the red and black jazz 3s but i always went back to my 1.14 ultex standerd shape picks. i found the jazz 3s awsome for picking but at he same time a little bit too small. then i saw the extra large ultex primtone jazz 3s and ordered right away. then i saw these bad boys abd a steal of a deal. i said if i like these i wont ever have to buy a new picks again. they came in before the primetons and honestly i love these picks. just like the standered ultex but sharper for faster picking and shred styles and trust me it is easier for me to pick fasr with these. hey using a new pick isnt going to tur. you into marry friedman but it sure helps a lot with how comfertable you are and the way the picks slide over strings and the amount of pressure and release is given when a string is it. and ive found these the best so far. far better then my dragon heart pick. will posr a review on the primetones when they come in but these are awsome and 24 for ten bucks . who can have such quality besides jim dunlop. love his mxr pedals and picks and will be a dunlop user and fan for life. here a pic so u can tell the size cuz i had no clue how big they wouod be. if u love jazz 3s but want a normal size pick. u cant go wrong fellas.

Bigger
The new ones are bigger than the old standby I bought in 2012. Running out of the old ones so I guess I will have to learn to like these. Same material. Same thickness. Just a little larger.
