I was introduced to fine finishing salts from a friend who’s spent significant time in France. I always thought salt was just…salt. Several years ago after a visit she brought this salt back as a gift for me, emphasizing it was not for recipes, just a sprinkle on prepared dishes right before serving. Tried using it in a cookie recipe, thinking “what could it hurt?” Big mistake, she was right, lesson learned. This flaky and flavorful salt adds that extra something to a dish or a salad. Use a light hand, a little pinch is all you need. Also, what I’ve found over the years is that a container of this salt, a bottle of quality olive oil, plus a jar of local honey makes a delightful gift for anyone who likes to cook…or eat!

This is my very favorite go to salt. I ordered 3. One arrived with seals broken on both sides, but the cap was not twisted in any way. The seals still matched up except they were both cut. It’s been resolved and I have credit. One seal was cut. The other ripped open. Great salt tho.
