Archaeology? Gardening? You want this.
I've spent some time doing archaeology and Marshalltown is THE brand to go to for archaeology equipment. They get the job done and are very hardy. I bought this model as a gift for a rigorous gardner in my family. She had issues with tools that rusted (even with upkeep), enamel that flaked, joins that bent and handles that broke. A year later and my aunt still gushes over this item and had started a small Marshalltown collection of her own.

Nice Trowel
We used this for our first cultured stone project and it works well. It looks really big but it is a good size for what we were doing. We did the whole project with this one and one half the size for small spots. No rust, good feel and seems good quality.

Quality at a reasonable price.
High quality at a very reasonable price. I’m an amateur but I can tell this is a good product.

Works Great!
Worked great. Just like the more expensive ones.

Much larger than I thought and rust pretty quickly
Wasn't expecting this to be this big, but it's a big tool.

Perfect trowel
Great trowel nice and strong does the job and a good middle size to fit almost any job. Best part is its comparable in quality but nowhere near the ridiculous prices of the hardware stores.

Same as the other marsheltown 10 trowels
I'm a brick/stone mason and was sceptical when I seen this but other than the small handle it's the same as the pink handle trowels. Nothing some duct tape won't take care of. This one is for my laborer to use and eventually loose but these are cheap enough to replace. So I reccomend.

Broke in two while tapping it on a bucket.
Figured that since I was only building one wall this would be good enough. On the third course of cinderblock, just after mixing a batch of mortar, I literally tapped this on the side of a bucket to clean some mortar off. It plinked in two so pathetically that it almost made me laugh. Then I realized I have 80lbs of mortar, a job to finish and no trowel. This has two tack welds holding the handle onto the blade. This is not decent in the least. Buy it nice or buy it twice.
