I'm allergic to tomatoes. That means finding something sweet, acidic and sticky to baste on my outdoor-grilled meats was a bit of a problem. That's until Bobby Flay hipped me to pomegranate "molasses," which is not molasses at all but really more like pomegranate juice evaporated until it's syrupy. The flavor is incredibly bright and tangy, the sweetness is subtle. I like to use it as a base for a baste; 3/4 of this stuff, the remainder being sriracha, tangerine juice, smoked paprika and whatever else you like. If all you have is this and sriracha your guests will go home happy. Grill a 1.2 bone-on chicken breast at 400 for 40 minutes; brush this on before cooking, at the 15, 25, 30, and 35 minute marks. (Silicone heat-proof brush helps with this; make sure and wash it with soap after the first baste, and don't dip it back in the sauce during that first baste, because the uncooked chicken breast will contaminate it.)I love this stuff; I have it set up to deliver regularly because I can't find it around here. If you try it, you'll want it all the time too!

I’m new to using pomegranate molasses. I love it added to balsamic vinegarette dressing on my salad.

This is a fine, sweetly tart pomegranate molasses though it is a bit sweeter than Turkish varieties, but will still serve you well in any recipe you have calling for PM. I like it just fine, my husband prefers the more sour Turkish variety (made with a different variety of pomegranate): upshot is it's worth it to at least try one brand & if you're intrigued enough, shop around for the different taste profiles. Have fun!

I received the bottle broken, and its contents spilled everywhere. I can't return it due to the nature of the item. I kindly request a replacement product or a refund. Thank you for addressing this issue

I use a teaspoon of it with honey in my afternoon tea. Try using in place of lemon in any recipe. Keep in mind that this is the only pomegranate molasses I've ever used. Are others better? I would not know. However, my fesenjan is always a hit. That is even with kids whom you'd think wouldn't like anything that was not found on a McDonald's menu. :-)As you can see in the photo, a stopper for olive oil fits the bottle--so handy for that afternoon tea.

Meet my expectation

Such a sweet yet tangy addition to my food. One of my BFF’s introduced me to this..... live it w baked chicken. My coworker added it to his Bell Pepper dip and said it was such an awesome combination. Glad I bought more bottle for the price... because I will probably need to re-order sooner than I planned... it’s THaT GooD!!
