Q: Does it have to be little every time you use it?

It must be lit every time. The heat sets off the scent in the oil. Remember to put the closed cap on after each use to reserve the product. It will evaporate over time without the cap on.

Q: Does lampe berger oil expire

No, the 100% pharmaceutical grade isopropyl alcohol that makes up 90% of the mixutre is stable. The balance is 5% distilled water and 5% essential oils. We have used oils that were at least 10 years old without any loss of volume or performance.

Mine came directly from Lampe Berger.

Q: Will this work in a standard oil lamp? one we use for light at the cabin.

I think it will. I used it in a home fragrence lamp with a cloth wik. So i think of it has a cloth wik it should work great.
