Works for what I needed.
Used to inject Pag oil into my system. Worked okay. Like the fact you do not need to connect something else to push Oil or Dye into the system. I did not have any trouble connecting the connector to my system. fit just fine. The only other thing I have is the Ounce reading. Mine is a label that is a self sticker. It is NOT etched. Not too bad right now, but I think in time, it will start wearing and become unable to read. Etched would be a bit better in this circumstance.

Great product
This is very easy to use. It made adding oil to my AC unit so simple.

Great Tool For DIY A/C Service
After replacing some parts in my trucks AC system I lost a small amount of pag oil. I decided to finish the job and recharge anyway since I didn't have any oil on hand. With this tool I was able to easily put oil back into the system while it was fully charged with little effort. It's a little tricky to bleed the air out because of the check valve in the hose but it can be done. Because the system was charged I also opted to use the adapter valve from my manifold gauge set so I could attach and remove with no loss of freon.

Added UV dyed oil to my Chevy and VW Audi AC system
Just got this R12/ R134A AC oil and dye injector. Read reviews for similar products, and committed to this one. The back or bottom (knurled part without hose attached) does not come off. Any attempt will destroy or render it useless. However, you can easily unscrew the knurled part with the hose attached! I need to add 4-6oz of oil to my trucks ac system for a proportioning valve and receiver/ dryer replacement. There’s a sticker on the inside tube that has a max capacity of 2 oz. or 60 ml. Unfortunately, I have to do this a few times to inject 4-6 oz. After the top us unscrewed, Ensure you have backed off (unscrewed) the bottom part to expose the amount of oil you need plus about 1/8 oz. (3.75 ml) to compensate for air that will be purged off. Add your favorite flavor of HVAC oil up to the threads. Screw the top back on, keep the injector standing up with the hose pointing and purge the air off the R12 connector Schrader valve at the end of the hose. Turn the tube body about 1/2 to 1 turn (To squeeze air out) and press the R12 Schrader valve. Repeat this until just oil comes out of the Schrader valve, telling you there is no more air in the oil chamber or hose. If you are working on R134A, install the included R12 to R134A coupler. Follow your manufacturers ac oil service instructions! Some reviews complained about the brass ring inside the R134a coupler. This is a push on to install coupler, and pull the blue collar to unlock and remove... Some couplers have this brass piece, some don’t. This varies by manufacturers and their AC system. The included adapter fits ‘most’ R134A systems. You may need a different R12 to ‘your vehicles ac system, low side, adapter. This ac oil and dye injector worked on: 95 Chevy k1500, 97 chevy Corvette, 06 VW Jetta TDI and, 2011 Audi Q7.

It works but some issues
I received this today and used it to fill PAG oil to my car AC system. It works very well for that. In fact, I think if you want to add PAG oil, you should get this instead of the ones with that has extra connection on the bottom which connects to the low hose line from a manifold. Because, with that one you have to use a manifold and also use extra refrigerant to add the oil. With this one, you can add the oil independently. Then, you can add the r134a refrigerant after or later. The maximum amount you can add is 2 oz. But, you can do it pretty easily several times. There was no leak and the adding was very easy. Just go slow and by step. The item comes with a 1/4 SAE connection and a quick connector. The issue is the connector. The connector I received has a flat copper ring inside the connection area. The issue is with the copper ring. All of our car Low port do not fit with this connector. So, basically the connector is useless for me. Some of you may have a port that fits this connector though. You can see that copper ring from the photos of similar items on Amazon. It's different from the Low port connector on my manifold from Harbor freight. So, if you do not have a manifold handy (you can take off the low port connector from the blue line of manifold) then you have to get a r134a connector (low port) with 1/4 SAE thread from Amazon. I would get it because you can add the oil with it and this item. I think it's a worth an investment.I didn't know about adding the PAG oil to older car compressor until recently. However, when I learned that you can check the oil level with the r134a PAG oil checker (sold on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0821PJPJT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), I got it and checked oils on all our cars. One definitely needed some oil.Steps.1. Unscrew top part with the hose part coming out of.2. Rotate bottom portion to lengthen the body and lower the inner slider so it gets to desired amount level.3. Screw the r134a connector to the end of 1/4 SAE screw.4. put the body upright and pour PAG oil into it. Pour up to where the inner thread line starts.5. Screw back the upper top slowly (do not cross thread)6. Now, you want to let out the air in the hose.7. Make sure your r134a connector knob is all the way unscrewed position (the inner plunger is up - not pushing on the schrader valve plunger).8. Rotate the bottom body of pump clockwise so that it's pushing up on the oil inside.9. Now, rotate the big knob on connector clockwise (plunger is pushing out) that lets out the oil out.10. Only let small amount oil out quickly so rotate back the knob. Now you got air out of the hose.11. Bring the item to the low port of your car AC port.12. Connect the connector to the port and make sure it's solidly connected.13. Start car. Start AC. Put it into mid to high fan.14. Got to low port, slowly rotate connector knob clockwise to open the port and let oil start mixing with AC line.15. Take hold of pump body, rotate the bottom portion clockwise to push the oil out.16. Do this in smaller increment (maybe 1/10 of oz at a time.). You don't want the oil to go out so suddenly in large amount at a time.17. I took about a minute of time to put all the oil into the system.18. Once oil is all injected, wait a few seconds for the remaining oil in the port area to mix with the refrigerant gas.19. Go and turn off AC. then turn off engine.20. go and turn connector knob counter clockwise to shut the oil off and let off the plunger in the port.21. Slowly disconnect the connector from the Low port.22. make sure there is no leak at the port area. You are done with injecting oil. If you need to do it once more, just follow the steps again.

Worked as advertised.
This will work on a pressurized or depressurized system with a R134A low pressure service port. Clean effective method of adding measured refrigerant oil.

worked great
Used to finish injecting more oil in a new AC system on a Camaro and it worked great. Was able to get all the oil installed the system called for.. Seems to be a well built tool. Thanks.
