Q: Does this cap fit the Nalgene 48 oz bottle? Without leaking?

The cap fits all three bottle sizes that I have, 1000 ml, 600 ml. and the little one about 400ml My bottles don't have oz.

Q: Will this Nalgene OTF Bottle Lid fit the 48 ounce Nalgene bottle?

I know it will fit the 32 oz. Nalgene bottle, and from the pictures, the 32 and 48 oz lids look to be the same. We've had some trouble keeping the OTF lid latch closed. 48 oz is a lot of liquid to clean up. About the same cost is the human gear capcap. That seems like a better design and less prone to accidents.

This is the cap only. As a replacement item in the event the existing cap is faulty and needs replacement. So rather then buying a new bottle you can just purchase the cap.

Q: Will this fit a wide mouth nalgene bottle?

This top fits the standard Nalgene bottle. Not the smaller top, and I'm not sure what the wide mouth Nalgene is. But it will fit the standard (read original) Nalgene bottle size.
