3/8 X 4FT EARTH ROD

Earth rod with wire connector clamp. Rod quality seems good, the clamp is designed to prevent the bolt head from turning when tightening the nuts. The bolt is longer than required but that's easily remedied with a hacksaw.

Well it’s not solid copper and it not pointed like it shows in the picture just rounded off , and no clamp so not such a bargain as it looks 🤔☹️

A good quality copper pole to ground for electrical overloads or in my case use for protection against lightning on a shortwave antenna.Hopefully I’ll never need it!

Works really gets you grounded in a jiffy.Good quality copper, at a reasonable price.

First of all, it's not pointed like shown in the diagram - slightly tapered to about a 4mm flat end. Not a huge problem in my ground, but very misleading.The one positive thing I can say is that it didn't buckle while I was hammering it into the ground. Then things got bad.I was tightening the brass coupler for the earthing wire; the clamp was still loose when the bolt sheared. I had a micrometer to hand, so I measured the diameter of the rod. It is 8.95 mm. 3/8" is 9.525 mm. That >0.5 mm makes a difference and a 3/8" coupler won't fit without being shimmed.An earth rod is a safety-critical bit of kit - for goodness sake get it right. And you owe me a 40 mm M8 brass bolt!

Well packaged, arrived on time, but it does not match the picture shown. I was tempted to return it, but I cannot be bothered.
