Approved by a Scotsman.
I’m a Scotsman, someone who’s grown up around thistles their entire life. I know the smell, the flavour when you use it in teas or cooking, the lot! I’m your guy when it comes to quality thistles. This honey may be from Bulgaria but my god man, it tastes like Scotland, it’s consistently amazing in texture, flavour and the joy it brings.

Self appointed honey connoisseur - Best honey on amazon
As claimed in title - I am a self appointed honey connoisseur. My uncle is a wine taster so I do have some inherited biological ability for knowing what tastes good. To put it simply; I’m special. Though we both are yet to be paid and he usually can’t remember what he thought of the wine the next day. Fortunate for you - I can! And this is delicious. It is mostly CrystalliseD but a little runny. It has a Carmel taste to it, rich in flavour which makes me think it is also quite nutritious honey. I have tried over 10+ brands of honey and this is the best tasting. It tastes just as good/ even better as one that is double in price. Even though this one is a bit more expensive than your box standard I think it is well worth your price in quality.I recommend to eat it mixed with butter by the spoon like ice cream - as I do. It will make your face and your colon glow with health. Is that not what we all want?Blessings to you all. And thank you to the makers of this honey. I really really enjoy it.

Good enough if you know what to do with it.
Thistle honey is one of the more insipid flavours, but sometimes that's exactly what's wanted. Like many (most?) reviewers here the honey came thoroughly crystalised. I wasn't dismayed considering the price and knowing that honey does this under certain conditions, it's not some sort of proof of adulteration. I set each jar in turn as I opened them in a hot water bath on a VERY low heat for about an hour and the honey completely reliquified and stayed liquid for several weeks until used up, so I really can't complain about doing a little work (note price 900g/£10). Would I buy again? That depends. For me this was an add-on purchase to the producer's formerly excellent really dried dried fruit which they now gone and ruined due to whinging by people surprised that dried fruit are supposed to be - well dried and not sticky. I was happy to increase the value of their sale by tacking on honey but if the main attraction isn't there I'll just buy my honey locally.

I like it
I've read about it being crystallised which isn't a problem for me as all my honeys in the cupboard end up that way at some stage but this came just like set honey thick and creamy.the taste of the thistle is subtle but very nice makes a nice change
